Frederic Kanoute
Yeah, he played his last club game this year and will join us in January.
Probably what is happening with other loan deals and injuries.Wonder what the plan is for Mason , loan I would guess, intrigued by what the "moving parts" are
Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank on incoming young Irish forward Mason Melia:
"We need him in the club on January 1, there's a lot of moving parts.
"When we know all of them, then we'll decide what we're doing here."
Be interesting to see what plans Lange has for Mason will it be in house like Bergvall or a loan.Probably what is happening with other loan deals and injuries.
I guess there is an argument of him staying as training with the 1st team he will learn what the level is about then playing some U21 games for actual matches. I guess he can also play the UEFA Youth League.
Just training at Spurs will probably be a notch up from any LOI team.
Might be because of all the convoluted rules on minors , he signed for us when he was 17 but under the rules don't think he could join us until he was 18 , he didn't get to 18 until Sept 22nd which was outside of the transfer window so could only join us today in the new transfer window. I might be completely wrong about all that but youth rules and inside EU and outside EU rules can be complex.Interesting one that we have decided to have him in the building Jan 1st rather than stay where is, must be some plan for the lad.

Also it’s between the LOI seasons. So don’t think he play till February again in that.If you sign someone surely you want to get to work straight away with them?
No sense in him staying in LoI, standard is poor. Would rather see him get a loan somewhere in England at the likes of Leyton Orient.Interesting one that we have decided to have him in the building Jan 1st rather than stay where is, must be some plan for the lad.

I’m not sure how much more he learns continuing playing at that level mate. League 1 or 2 in England would be a good next step for him.I mean, we literally just bought him from there, so 6 months would not hurt.
But anyway, be interested to see what the plans are

Indeed. Even him just training with our first team for the next 6 months would likely be great for his development.Of course but I don't think as a parking bay at his age it really matters either TBH. Its not the end of the world either way.
Lets see what the plan is
The purchase has been agreed for almost 18 months. We couldn't buy him until he turned 18 in Sptember. So in effect we've left him there for 18 months even if technically we've just bought him.I mean, we literally just bought him from there, so 6 months would not hurt.
