The Cricket Thread

It won't be long before the Aussies blame the loss on the wicket. Yes tomorrow was sold out some very upset punters

The Barmy Army will have 3 days to immerse themselves in Victorian culture like Flemington racecourse, Dame Edna's mansion, birth and death places of Ned Kelly, along with a Macdonalds with beetroot.

You can't help think it will be used to explaining away and aid the demise of test cricket £££££££

When England tour it helps tourism in many test playing nations, particularly in West Indies where Englands followers outnumber locals in many games. My son and son in law have worked in India and noticed crowd are bigger when the home team are batting as locals want to see their star batsmen racking up big scores.
We're lucky in England that we have big communities of followers from the sub continent and West Indies to create a good atmosphere although West Indies following has declined, possibly due to strength of their teams and ticket prices.
I think the authorities should be prepared to guarantee a certain amount of overs in a day by use of floodlights, it may not be ideal but teams should not be able to short change customers by bowling slowly.
I would like to see just one form of ODI and I suppose that would be the awful T20 version, I think T20 is loaded in favour of batsmen.
