Judging by the tweets we're getting, there is no doubt which club has the most disillusioned fans this deadline day. Step forward Gooners...

Chris Leonard on Twitter: "Arsenals lack of transfer activity bordering on negligence...."

Guy Remon on Twitter: "Mr Wenger still in bed? please buy a defensive midfield/defender and a striker with PL experience. Or just buy anyone please!"

James Ash on Twitter: "Come Arsenal! Sell or loan another player, I dare you! #transferblues"

Ah!

Bless!

So we still haven't signed the two players we were told we'd signed 3 hours ago? Gotta love SkySports

Dale Johnson:
Hearing that Spurs have now agreed a fee of €10m, rising to €15m, with Lyon for France captain Hugo Lloris.

Re: The summer transfer thread, Dembele pg 1277 #Levytime

I go out for one hour, expecting things to move on, all i can see is this:

Here's what Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas had to say about Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy regarding Spurs's move for Hugo Lloris. It is not particularly complimentary: "We have had people speaking all night with Daniel Levy. He talks a lot and goes back on what we've agreed in writing.

"The things as they were at 5am were not the same at 10am. I think we have to make sure we get a certain amount of value because it's important that Hugo can go to a quality club that allows him to do himself justice from a value point of view, so that he can feel right about it.

"At the moment we're talking about whether he can come back to say his goodbyes to the supporters, to his team-mates, so we can honour him, this truly great player and brilliant man. I would put it at 50-50 that Hugo goes to Tottenham. Although from the outset we've submitted to agreements I would now put it at 50-50 that he'll be going there.

"Agreements have not at all been respected. We've done what we can. Hugo has been troubled by the difficulty in these negotiations."

1605:

France goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is now at Tottenham's Spurs Lodge training ground undergoing a medical ahead of a proposed move from Lyon. Reports suggest the agreed fee is around £10m. Heurelho Gomes must be feeling particularly glum right now.

Chelsea and Reading played their game about 10 days early, due to tonight's European Super Cup match.

I know, bu neither play this weekend in the league, so there would be time to register Brad for Reading's next game. Otherwise the record is over. The only way he can carry on are to keep the spot at Spurs or move to Reading or Chelsea and playing for them the weekend after this.

Re: The summer transfer thread, Dembele pg 1277 #Levytime

So anyway if we pull off Moutinho and Lloris how we lining up?

-------------------Lloris-------------------
Walker---Gallas----Vertonghen---Ekotto
--------Sandro--Moutinho--Dembele----
--Lennon-------Adebayor---------Bale--

That looks likely and I think that Dembele and Moutinho will be able to swap in and out as both players can play the advanced role or the deeper role. And Sandro can even motor on, could have three players that can easily interchange as possesion dictates.

I want Lloris, he would be great. But Im DESPERATE for us to sign Moutinho! please get this done DL

Tremendous, especially so when Kaboul back. Do not rule out another possible incoming for right side/striker but Lloris and Moutinho would be far more than I expected in terms of the quality of player we could get in.

Spot-on.

But Lloris won't be able to play for us at home to Norwich tomorrow anyway, so Brad's record should still be intact.

But then Friedel won't be able to move until January.

Receiving rumors that Spurs have tabled a bid for Llorente, in the region of £12m. Levy going bananas today! #Spurs #Thfc

Re: The summer transfer thread, Dembele pg 1277 #Levytime

Lloris isn't here to sign, he's just after a new kitten and heard Spurs Lodge had some.

Re: The summer transfer thread, Dembele pg 1277 #Levytime

If the Lennon rumours from earlier are true does that mean that Remy or Hulk could potentially be on their way?

Sigurddson will be an integral part of the team so there's no way he's getting dropped.

Imo it will be:

---------------------------------------Lloris-------------------------------------------

Walker------------------Gallas-----------------Vertonghen-------------------ekotto

--------------------------------------Sandro/Parker---------------------------------

---------------------------Moutinho-------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------Sigurddson------------------------------

--------------Dembele--------------------------------------------------------Bale-

--------------------------------Adebayor-------------------------------------------

Obviously i much prefer Dembele as a cm but the above team is what i think we'll play (unless AVB swapsSig and Dembele's positions). That would require Sig to go in field an awful lot...nah dembele is better in that role.

the Lennon rumour is that someone saw him at Sunderland

that is 0% credible, hence, there is no rumour
