Whoever we put out we have to make sure that we can field our absolute best team on Saturday. Playing against what I think is the only team in the top 7 divisions to not pick up a point yet. We all know what's going to happen, but first we worry about this one.

A few changes to be expected. Something like Kinsky, Spence, Romero, Danso, Udogie, Gray, Sarr, Simons, Johnson, Tel, Odobert.

Agree, lots of changes expected.

Plenty in our squad have not seen much action, so could be quite a patchwork team.

The Damola Ajayi derby; he's gonna be soooooo pumped to play against his teammates/ rivals for progress at Spurs.

Will he be able to play?

I never like to see lots of changes, but I do feel like we should for this game

Would like to see Williams-Barnett with the squad.

I would limit the starting line up to a maximum of 5, in the past we've played silly "rotation teams" and been terrible. They have made a fair start to the season but I would hope we could beat them.

‐------------------Kinsky
Spence--Danso--Davies--Udogie
--------------------Gray
Johnson--Simons-Odobert-LWB
----------------------Tel
4141???
Why would you start Simons when he will be needed to play against Wolves, then Bodo and then Leeds???? And Odobert between Simons and a left winger???

Just thinking about who resting minutes and who needs minutes.

4 of our CMs have been playing a lot, so id give them all this one off. Whereas our AMs havent really been clicking (bar Kudus), so id give them 90 minutes to try and find some rhythm.

I suppose realistically Biss is likely to start instead of LWB

A difference between now and then is the depth of quality we have in the squad.

Of course those players won't be fluid and in form and all those things, so a risk of a disjointed performance. Imo we should still have enough quality on the pitch to come out on top. And some of those players do also need minutes, could do them good.

On the flip side not changing as many players could make it a more comfortable game where we can rest players in a different way. But we've imo seen that plan fail to materialise at times too in the past.

Anyone expected to start the next 3 shouldn't start this one would be my "line in the sand". An even clearer line would be VdV should be nowhere near the starting lineup. Along with Romero, Porro, Palhinha, Kudus and Richarlison.

I have a dilemma about this one. Donny are 7th in League One and will put up a fight. I'm never a fan of changing an entire eleven but would think we have a better chance of making mass changes and performing under Frank than we've seen in the past. His system is more likely to stick with the fringe players. There is nothing worse than seeing mass changes with no cohesion and no chance of playing well together. We have too many of those t-shirts over the years.

Minutes should be prioritised for Kinsky, Gray, Danso, Muani and probably Davies. Solanke and Takai are definitely out. That just leaves Bissouma as the other question mark. We also need to use this game to try different things like getting Simons into the 10 position. I'd like Spence to play and keep working on how he becomes more natural on the left. With Tel not being in the CL squad, he also needs to play,

So perhaps something like the following:

Kinsky
Gray, Romero, Danso, Spence
Bissouma, Bentancur
Johnson, Simons, Tel
Muani

I agree we have better players to come in than in the past and a manager with a more flexible approach in games but I feel we lack goals therefore need to be solid at the back. Richarlson looked uncomfortable at the end of the Brighton game and both Munai and Solanke may not be ready, might be worth giving Scarlett a try as he has a greater physical presence than Tel and more experience in that role.
Fielding a weaker team gives our opponents a boost IMO, they may feel they have a good chance of pulling off an upset. It's a tricky situation as you write the 2 games after this are probably when we need our best side playing.

We might as well give up in Gray if we square peg him at RB again. He's got to be starting in his proper position in games like this

Bissouma still isn't training with the team.
Could push Gray to CM, and have Spence and Davies at full backs.

But would be good to get Udogie more game time if he can play again.

It's a good shout on Scarlett. He must feel a little out in the cold this season.

I guess Chris answered the question. If Biss isn't in contention then it's natural for Gray to slot into midfield.

As for Destiny, back to back games after coming back from injury may not work. I guess only the fitness and medical team know what he can and can't put his body through.

Kinsky

Spence
Dragusin (Romero)
Danso
Davies

Gray
Sarr
Bergvall

Johnson
Muani
Tell

Lack of creativity there is a worry so maybe I’d play Simons in the 10 instead of Bergvall for an hour? Difficult balance between giving people minutes and resting the current starters..
