***Spurs vs West Ham Untd***, PL, 13th September 2025 at The London Stadium

I think Udogie and Spence have to start. Pedro played a lot of minutes, and isn't the point of rotation to give rests early enough to be proactive in protecting players from injuries? Smart rotation now could be hugely important further down the line. I would personally not start either Simons or Muani, instead bring them from the bench/let them find their way into things.
I totally agree re Udogie and Spence.
Why would you not start Muani or Simons though?

I guess the question becomes does the introduction of Simons allow the Bents/Pal midfield pivot to continue?

I'm thinking this

Venom
Porro, Romero, VDV, Udogie
Bentancur, Palhinha
Kudus, Sarr, Simons
Richi

Still has that strength you need in an away game by including Sarr at 10. Playing Simons on the left though means you need a leftie in Udogie at LB, which is perhaps a little harsh on Spence. Then, as you say, how match ready is Muani?

We'll definitely need our bench strength to win this one. I can see Johnson being the hero again.
As Spence has done a good job at lb I think Udogie could be used on the left in the front 3 if needed, crosses and dribbles well. Interchanges passes quickly and drives into good areas.

We have loads of players for the left. Muani, simmons, tel, odobert, richarlison and johnson can all play there.
It's the left and right backs where we are short.
We'll have lots of games and injurys. Spence and udogie will both get plenty of game time.

I'd like to see

----------------------------------Vicario

Porro/Spence--------Romero----------VDV-----------Udogie

-----------------Paulinho-------------Sarr----------------------

----------Kudus--------------Xavi-------------------Odobert-

----------------------------Kolo Muani-----------------------------

But I would be a little surprised I wouldn't be shocked to see Spence on the right, and Johnson on the left.

I like that team. Think the new signings might come off the bench though.

Id probably give Danso the minutes anyway, get his levels better for when 2 games a week start.

Porro or Spence is a hard call.

Id manage Palhinha's minutes quite carefully this season considering his age and recent spate of injuries, and only use him for the most competitive fixtures
I would definitely play our captain away at West Ham.
