Savinho

Sorry mate.... that's a load of BS informed solely by preconceived perceptions.

Once again.... goals win games and neither Tel nor Odobert are currently able even to lace Brennan's boots in that respect.... Also five goals in two dominant matches... sort of indicates a bit balance I would think...
I'm not sure I agree either on who GB thinks should be starting now.

But his point on balance is a good one imo. And the 5 goals you mentioned have come with said balance. A more goalscoring LW in Johnson, a more creative and ball progression type player in Kudus on the right.

Along with the midfield. More creativity in there against a smaller team, different setup against City. Again about balance imo.

Something about someone at City still blocking either tonight or tomorrow. Then Spurs still trying. Then may be looking for other targets. Then player pushing for move. Spurs willing to pay X amount. Rinse and repeat.
"Googlehim N'Random to Spurs here we go, Spurs move on after Savinho, player has agreed a 5 year contact."

If Johnson scored 30 goals this season you would still moan that he was poor
Well I don’t understand all of the hate but even if he scored 30 it doesn’t mean that he’s a great player. He needs to address certain things in his game but some of the harsh judgement is uncalled for.

He is scoring goals, contributing to the team and more importantly being selected by Frank for a reason

If we're winning & playing well with him in then we're clearly in a position as a team to be able to 'carry' his perceived deficiencies - last season we weren't winning or playing well so I can see why there was a focus on it

If he scored 30 of course he would be a great player. How many players score 30 goals?

He may well not be a rounded player, but if he scored 30 goals in a season consistently he would be great.

As it is, around the 20 mark a season he is a very good player, again maybe not a well rounded player but a good player nonetheless.

Would like him at Spurs, very talented player.
If not to be think we should go for Semenyo at Bournemouth, pacy and hard working, can beat a man and has got a good shot on him.
Has only just signed a new contract which may push the price up too far though.

Very true.
He's now our best finisher at the club now Sonny has moved on.

Anyone that scores 30 in the PL is a great player.

We was linked to him at the start of the window saying we asked about him but fee was too pricey. Sounds quite likely, but if Savinho doesn't happen maybe we'd be prepared to go there ( if Bournemouth were still willing to sell at this stage)....

Was only teasing. We can argue about what a "great" player is. Lets just leave it as if johnson gets 20 goals this season he's done great. 30 amazing.
I don't think Johnson will get 30 goals this season, but if he does it'll mean he'll have pushed on under Frank and be up there with a Son/Kane level of threat....which has got to be a good thing right? Getting 20 goals in a system that isn't geared all out to attack like under Ange will still be a great achievement and he's already 10% of the way there after 2 games!

Really well that’s your opinion, he could put 5 past 6 teams in the lower end in the cup competitions… would that make him a great player?

I'd guess we'll push to get Savinho for as long as we can while having one or two acceptable back-ups who we know will come (El Khannouss/Akilouche) and we can switch to them close to the end if Savinho definitely won't happen
