The highest risk group for being douchebags are your unaccompanied young males from countries like Iran and Afghanistan, high in crime and high in terrorism. if your measures are successfully reducing the numbers of lower risk groups, I.e. families, those more likely to be genuinely refugees and seeing increasing numbers of the highest risk groups, your measures are b*llsh*t.

I did say what I think they are. I said we don't have to treat every douchebag rocking up on a beach as a refugee. The meaning behind the statement remains. The use of the word is not an attempt to claim the whole thing was a joke, it was merely to add an air of flippancy and humour to the statement.

The man was arrested for saying "we love bacon" at the site of a proposed mosque. He was likely arrested for inciting hatred which again illustrates the frankly impossible and absurd task police officers face with all this bo**cks.

If you ask me protesting against the build of a mosque could meet the criteria for arresting everyone present. But apparently the words "i love bacon" are the tipping point between "lawful protest" and "inciting hatred" when fundamentally every single person there was there because they don't want a mosque on their doorstep.

And this is the thing many want the police to tolerate people turning up in London to show support for a proscribed terrorist organisation. Those same people want the police to arrest everyone protesting outside asylum hotels and mosques. And it works the other way around with the people outside mosques and asylum hotels wanting everyone at Palestine marches arrested. The police are expected to be arbiters of freedom of protest and expression and upholding the law in an increasingly febrile environment when protectors and activists are increasingly pushing the boundaries of the law deliberately with the express thought process and planning that breaking the law in enough numbers to overwhelm police and cause scenes where officers are forced to make impossible and sometimes incorrect interpretations of the law on camera....its a deliberate campaign on all sides to undermine law and order and sow distrust in government and authority

But this plays to the stupidity of society these days.

In any day I live, work, off work, with family, on holiday, the thought of mentioning bacon to a Muslim has never ever ever come up in my life. And I can say now, my life is no worse off for that.

So it begs the questions why is it even a thing and I tell you why, because people have tried to be purposely antagonistic in mentioning it to a Muslim and had their wrist slapped and why, because likely, like me there is no reason for it to come up in life so that persons go WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY out their way to spend some time to do it and why is that? To cause grievance on someone and their life.........

"Ohhhhhh I can stand outside a mosque an burn the Quran" I mean fcuk me, is that peoples idea of a living and a good time? Absolutely not, its "I can be offensive to people anymore that I enjoy being offensive towards"..............Its as plain and simple as that.

You have to go a long way out of your normal life for this to even be a thing.........what a waste of a life that must be

I know its not new, my grandparents were ridiculed by the NF in East London for being Jews, so I get it.

My point being, if what she is saying impacts on your life (the wider you, not you) then you really need to look at your life choices........

I agree we don’t have to treat them as a refugee. But if they claim asylum we do have to treat them as an asylum seeker until their claim is assessed and decided. Fortunately the current government is putting more resources into this than was previously the case and is speeding up the review process.

Ive literally said there would be a case for arresting all of them simply for protesting a mosque because how isnt that inciting hatred of a religion but saying "i love bacon" tips the scales into crime. On the other side you've got people saying that people shouldn't be arrested for saying they support Palestine action....well the law says they should. But the law also says people have the right to protest ....and the policing of where that line gets crossed is a sh*tshow of a job that i certainly wouldnt want to do.
