I don't think 70m eur/60m GBP is an elite price tag at all. It's 5 million more than we paid for Kudus who is not in the elite bracket either and he's 4 years younger than him.

In terms of valuation I think you're more hung up on the fact he barely scored last season, I really don't think it's a big deal - he is quality, would walk into out side and only going to get better....

Do we want to develop players or do we want great ones? If they can evolve into that then great but if we also have the opportunity to get ready made gyvwho can perform right now then it makes sense to grab him.

Where I agree with you is that the transfer policy is a little scattered, because we've gone for development option 3 times with Odo, Tel and Moore (in-house) the obvious issue with that is it's fine having those kinds of players around if you also have the ready to go starter to rotate with and that's what we are lacking.

I think Tel or Odobert would have been fine alongside ready right now player but we brought in both. Now we have the opportunity to get a similarly young player but one much further along the learning curve than trio we already have. It's kind to good an opportunity to miss because there's no guarantee that Tel or Odobert even reach the level Savio is at right now.

Savio is speculation on how good he will become
And if we were Saudi Sportswashing Machine or a club bankrolled by a state I’d get the gamble
We have already gambled £60m on tel and Odobert who regardless of what people think, are here already
We also have Moore coming though and also Luca Williams Barnett who also comes in on the left
Just seems we’re stockpiling potentially so need to be bloody smart on managing the players and that’s not something we have a history of being good at

The non PL clubs tend to do better business at cheaper prices, this is known.

I'm quietly confident our scouting department look at players analysing them to a far greater level than how many goals and assists they've got and if we are prepared to spend the type of money being discussed then there's a good reason for that....

More money than doue (yep younger player and not as proven)
More than Olise
I just think that for that money I’d want guarantees
We buy Kudus but that was a dead cert. I think Savio is too but for a club with a history of BIG money guys being brought off the back of a few seasons that worries me (tanguy still leaves his legacy)

It's an opportunity because seemingly we can afford it and we aren't otherwise able to sign someone with a similar combination of class, ability, potential, experience and his age.

I look at it as if Frank feels we need these attributes in our front 3 (and I wholeheartedly agree) and he doesn't feel Odo or Tel can currently provide, that, which seems to be the case based on his selections so far then we should go for the player or similar, but there is no payer with the aforementioned combination that will cost less for us.
