*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Burnley FC ***

Just to mention the Wednesday to Saturday turnover too. So early in the season, the travelling, players not being at full match fitness yet. Along with the disappointment of losing after leading 2-0. Particularly for those who played the majority of that game. Perhaps a bit of the rust was because of that and it was "only Burnley", but didn't think we looked too impacted by that, good to see.

Better second half than first, perhaps partly Burnley getting worse, but still. Some lovely goals, clean sheet, some rust and shortcomings. Well done.

Just me or did Gray impose himself more on the game in the second half (until subbed). Thought he did better, but may just be me.

He looked like he’d been given license by Frank to be a bit braver and push a bit more second-half, yes. He’s learning a role and I thought did very well all told.

Enjoyed that.
As a vey attack oriented person I'm surprised I'm going to say this but what a massive relief knowing we're not going to do anything Angeball crazy. We look much better drilled already, the shape looks better.
What a game from Richie, 2 world class finishes but also he dropped deep at the right times and had some great touches to keep/get attacks going.
Kudus is baller!! Great signing.
A couple more players in and I think this could be a very good season.
COYS!!

Either given the license or just needed that first 45 to get going...

Glad to see Frank trust him with a start in that role already.

Anyway, what are you doing posting on here, don't you have a pod to record? 😉 (just a way of saying looking forward to the pod)

it was a deserved win, Richie was fudging brilliant, clear MotM, Kudos stood out too

still a fudging car crash at the back at times though, need to sort that sharpish

I don’t care what anyone says, Kudus is going to be insane for us

I’ve told this story on the pod, but I sat next to an agent last season who had a few West Ham clients. I told him I loved Kudus and wished we’d got him from Ajax, he said the reports on him from West Ham were sensational in terms of talent ceiling and that physically he was considered an almost insane freak with regards to balance and strength. I could not believe they sold him to us. So happy.

Enjoyable game, still a little bit open, but 3 young players in midfield will need a bit of experience to help them, cut out the sloppy passing and we will be a lot harder to beat. Very annoying watching on prime24 sport, they kept jumping to other games when there was an incident.

Makes a lot of sense as a description of him. His combination of technical ability and physical strength really is rare. The Dembele comparison has been made rightly imo. Somehow he also has good ball striking technique. What's the ceiling with that skill set?
