Savinho

Not seen much of him myself however i have a mate who is a ST holder at City and he really rates him as a future star.
Hes looked excellent every time ive watched him. Similar to Kudus, way better than Oderbert, Tel, Johnson ,Solomon if its wing play and beating defenders we are talking about. Id say if we can get him , pay the money.

Feels like City don’t really want to sell, not sure how this gets done without a ridiculous fee?
Well yeah, the guy is going to be quality so City aren't going to actively want to sell him. Big clubs pay premiums for quality players they want to prise away from other clubs all the time, it's just not something we typically do.

But I'd wager whatever we potentially pay for this guy he ends up being worth more than, he looks the real deal to me but at 21 is of course a punt at the money we will pay. City want Rodrygo so just looking for as much money towards that as they can get....

Obviously, if that’s how they rate him, but I thought I’d read at the start from Romano or someone that they were open to do a deal as he was surplus? That doesn’t seem to be the case though.

This one from a week or so ago doesn’t seem strictly true?

I wouldn't take Romanos words literally word for word personally for a variety of reasons - surplus to requirements is a bit of a stretch considering he played in 29 PL games and 9 CL games last season unless something drastic has changed. But they are open to do a deal because they want Rodrygo, but we aren't going to get him at some discounted price that's for sure.

If we did sign him along with Eze then these are the sort of moves that ENIC haven't typically done and would deserve a lot of credit for. Paying a large price for a youngster from a PL rival whilst clearly quality still has a lot to prove, and signing a quality creative player for a fairly big price at the age of 27. You would have to say ENIC have produced there no arguments, so let's see what happens....

Depends what is ridiculous I thought 50 with 10 in add on was to much. If they really want 75 as I read on some random website earlier we should walk away
Are you happy with our existing options for the left hand side? If not then we are going to have to invest in someone and even if we go for someone cheaper there is no guarantee that they will be successful.

I get it that he might be expensive at this point but he genuinely has top level potential so we'd be paying for that along with his existing quality right now.

I think you have to separate his Here We Go! from his rumours. I’ve found the rumour side of his business very hit and miss, just like any other joirno’s tbh.
Exactly my thoughts. For me he is the most reliable, and his 'Here we go!' is as good as done, save for a crazy scenario like MGW. But he is still obviously about making money so the bits inbetween can be very much clickety click time....

Yea seems so, he appears to have called this one a bit wrong originally.

Fingers crossed it still happens though.

I’d like Nico Paz over him and he would cost less and is IMO more flexible
But if we did pull this off I think he would be a brilliant signing and the first technically elite Brazilian we have ever signed

I saw him a couple of times hoping to see Alli and he looked to have a real distinct lack of pace, kept having to cut back inside when defenders made yards on him. I think that likely gets exposed more in the PL too (Paz that is)

Is paz a winger though, thought he was a 10?
He can be
Like Eze
And that’s the flexibility for me
Savio has it that he can play both sides as a winger
But my logic (not that we’re getting Paz) is he has a high ceiling and can alternate with Eze or even allow the actual left wingers we have like Odobert and Moore to develop too

I rate Savio. Not for that fee but it ain’t my money
But I do think we’re potentially not be smart around the future

Oh he isn’t quick
And let’s be honest…. That’s a trait all clubs want here
But he is a real footballer
But also very young too

Yeh I think its needed in that role in a Frank side, he is all about Flank pace and support in advanced areas. I don't think he is a bad player at all, just not sure he would be a fit.

I think we might get Eze but this deal is one that doesn't happen, not sure Emirates Marketing Project have a full appetite for it but could be wrong
