Wouldn't be shocked if the agent is using us to speed Arsenal into action
The agency has a brilliant relationship with us, doubtful they would want to fudge that up by using usWouldn't be shocked if the agent is using us to speed Arsenal into action
Or turning down Zidane because he was "too wooden"Surely stems from this? Over 20 years ago, but I remember it well. The fact it was even on the official site is madness.

So close to Rivaldo

This, we've broughr a lot of potential the last few yearsI do like Eze but worry we're maybe a year or two late to buy him, a lot of money for someone with no resale value but on the flipside we're always buying potential when sometimes you need someone to slot in right away to kick on.
The only issue with that is that worthy effort accompanied by ultimate disappointment is indistinguishable from doing nothing, so it's rather a damned-if-you-do situation and won't put an end to the bellyaching. That was and is pretty cringey. "Wrote him a letter", LOL. Glad we've moved on from there and now keep our transfer dealings secret until they materialise.
Yeah, we should have bought him instead of Maddison that summer. I wouldnt be disappointed at all with him now, but the Leicester or Monaco guys make much more sense at this junctureI do like Eze but worry we're maybe a year or two late to buy him, a lot of money for someone with no resale value but on the flipside we're always buying potential when sometimes you need someone to slot in right away to kick on.
I've heard a few people say this. Isn't Spence the back up there? I know he's primarily a right back but he looked better at left back last season. He can cover either side and in the unlucky event that both Porro and Udogie get injured, Davies or VdV are options there (with Danso or Dragusin stepping in at CB).Get Savinho and Eze, after Kudus, with Pahlinha coming in, and I’d say that’s a damn good window. Would only want an Udogie back up to add to it.
Not sure that it puts us in title contention, but it’s a very strong window for the club that should be praised if we can pull it off.
WordWho gives a fudge about resale value? We really do get strung up on brick that doesn’t concern us. If the club have the funds to buy the players lets just enjoy the time he is here and not worry about how much we can sell them for. There is a guy that works with me, he purchased a nice new car but would barely drive it as didn’t want the mileage going up and the value going down. He ended up selling it, not getting the money he wanted and didn’t get to enjoy the car. Really defeats the object of buying it if you won’t enjoy it whilst you own it.
I think Frank said recently that we are not looking to sign any fullbacks.I've heard a few people say this. Isn't Spence the back up there? Agree with the rest of your post though. Would be a fantastic window if we get those two deals done.

Its to do with PSR and depreciation. Towards the last quarter a 4 year contract he'll be worth zero. Whereas a 22 YO now will hopefully be worth at least the same 4 years down the line.Bit odd talking about Eze as having no resale value when we've just sold a 33 year old with one year left on his contract for 20 million.
He seems like a sensible guy who is looking to play as long as possible, no reason why he won't be desirable to other clubs in 4/5 years time. Players take better care of themselves now. But also, as said by others, there's nothing wrong with looking at the here and now. Bit of an odd feeling about the season going in but it'll feel a lot better if we can get one or two players who get you on the edge of your seat (in addition to Kudus), I'll feel a lot more positive about the notion of us at least being watchable.
Eze's always looked like a Spurs type of player, let's hope we can actually make it a reality.
Spence looks awful as an orthodox LB. It was only the inverted system that suited him.I've heard a few people say this. Isn't Spence the back up there? I would expect Spence to be ahead of Davies at left back.Spence looks awful as an orthodox LB. It was only the inverted system that suited him.
Bit it does look like we're settling with Davies and a wonky
Based on what? A single game against Bayern Munich two days or so after travelling half across the world???Spence looks awful as an orthodox LB. It was only the inverted system that suited him.
