I would expect Mautinho + creative forward that can play either flank or in the centre

Someone like Giuseppe Rossi? I know we won't sign him due to his injury, but someone in that mould that can play up front on his own (like Falcao did at AVB's Chelsea) and will provide cover on the wings acting like a wide forward?

Nobody is going to play every single game, there will be plenty of opportunities for all of them.

Since we now have a Dembele thread and since I'm a greedy bastard...

Do you guys think we'll sign another creative central midfielder? I still think we need one if we're going to send Huddlestone out on loan, with just Dembele we'll still be just one injury away from having very little creativity in the central two with Sandro, Parker and Livermore as the options. Seeing as Dembele can play in several more attacking roles as well we could still give plenty of games to both him and another player should we sign one.

I doubt we will sign someone very expensive like Moutinho, but is there someone out there that we could get that would bring creativity that would be cheaper? Seeing as we have Demble who should slot right in with his experience from the PL we could "gamble" by signing someone that might need longer to settle in.

depends on the formation, but if we eventually go to a 4-3-3, then Sandro, Dembele and Moutinho would be the middle 3, and Bale, Sig, and Ade would be the front 3

Why would those signings mean that we couldn't sign a midfielder as well?

Are you happy with us having only one creative central midfielder in the squad if we ship Hudd out on loan?

Buying Sigurdsson, Dembele AND Moutinho in one window would be surprising, but would explain the loaning of Huddlestone. Still seems like we would have too many midfielders though, unless perhaps Dembele could operate on the wing?

I don't think we would have Sigurdsson or Adebayor on the right wing, it wouldn't work

they will all interchange, very flexible in movement. Bale switches sides, Sig can roam, Ade floats about. Its an option anyway

Genuinely unsure about what this signing means; whether he is a direct replacement for Modric or we're thickening the squad after getting rid of deadwood. Blimey these next two days are going to be manic - we're genuinely pushing for so many players and the options for the squad are very broad.

Very exciting. Should we sign another striker and wing cover (either that or both in one player) then we could have a very sturdy squad for the new season.

I'd rather keep Lennon's pace on the right wing - none of those players has played there successfully in their careers (or at all?).

I have a feeling that we will be doing all our work for friday on other areas of the team rather than a new forward. I get the impression that we will wait till January for a forward after the signing on a permanant of Adebayor. Nothing really to base it on other than players we have targeted/been linked with over the last couple of seasons will maybe be in more of a position to move in terms of finances and fitness. Leandro - Between seasons in January, Rossi - Near to full recovery from injury, Llorente - 6 months of contract left.

Not as surprising as Hazard, Marin, Oscar, Moses to compete with Ramires, Lampard, Mata, Malouda, Benayoun and Kakuta.
