Transfer thread

Savinho and Eze would be brilliant but I just can’t see it. We been here late in window to many times.

There’s a long list of nearly signed them at this club.

Does Kudus count as quality established? Would Savinho? Eze? Or are they 2nd tier?
Kudus definitely does (whether he succeeds or not here).

Savinho I guess is on the verge, I do rate him (followed him a bit at Girona) so I see him as an established talented player on the verge of breaking through.

Eze I'll be honest is the one who whilst I think is quality I also don't think he's as good or will have the impact many do, so I guess he's the one I would consider a risk to spend massive amounts on. He's more a player we should have signed before he went to QPR (as a few on here suggested). £70m and say £200k pw would be over the top for him imo.

Im not sure Eze is the right 10 now for the frontline we have assembled. We'd be absolutely overflowing with dribblers, but still not really have a passer in the final third.
I think the same, I don’t really want us to sign him.

Think we’d be better with Savinho and then a #10 that’s a real decisive passer…they don’t need to be world class, just consistent and with good work rate.

Whose to say we won’t sign a younger number 10 aswell? Cheap but feels the gap until January / Madders is back. We can’t sign everyone this window.

When you wrote this, it confused me a little as I see some amazing passing from Eze. So I google "Eze attrobutes"

"Eberechi Eze is known for his exceptional dribbling skills, creative passing, and ability to break down defenses. He is a gifted playmaker with excellent close control, vision, and a knack for finding incisive passes. His ability to glide past opponents, his unpredictable passing range, and his tendency to drift to the left side of the pitch where he thrives, make him a unique and effective player."

When I've watched him I notice how he is the outlet for the Palace defence. He takes and retains the ball under pressure. He takes the ball through the thirds and he definitely has some amazing short and long range passing in him. His gliding past players does remind me a little of Dembele actually.

With all our double pivot centre mids being right footed, you could easily have a leftie biased AM / no 10 in this setup. We've only got Kulu really.

All very fair
I think eze is so good and will show that here
There is clearly some view that he is a dribbler but that’s not his game. He uses the ball better than most players imo to control the tempo, just like Cole palmer. No rush, no panic, just control
Savinho is that tricky winger but also a smart player. His left foot crossing is great too which would work well with dom I think and definitely with Richy
I think these moves (if they actually happen) reaffirm tel as a CF

Not a player that takes other players on in the traditional sense, but he glides with the ball and keeps it out of reach of his opposition number. He uses his body well. Not the upper body strength of Dembele but uses some similar techniques to shield the ball and move it forward into open spaces. He's certainly been the Palace outlet when they're soaking up the pressure.

Does anyone have one of those fancy data charts that compares Eze's passing and Odegaard? (Long pass, short pass, key pass etc). He would be a good benchmark.
Eze with his play in the QF, SF and Final pretty much won the FA Cup for Palace
Didn't see the Arsenal one do anything like that in big games

agree that eze is just a very situational player and has the tools to do well no matter what. of course he will do better with runners into space and that is what brentford's attack has been about.

solanke is more mobile and better at darting in front of defenders to get to the cross and i believe will be first choice. perhaps with the best teams where we are forced to defend and win from set pieces, i can see richy preferred.
