George Hunt
I think that will be an important part of our plan regardless, but obviously shouldn't be our only plan.IF we sign him, it will be proof positive that we are absolutely looking to sit tight and strong to spring on the break and catch teams out.
I actually think he'd help us to some extent playing differently too. He's not the deep playmaker I still wish we'd find hidden under some stone. But he's a player I think can turn poor or average possession under pressure into better possession with skill and technique.
We're forced to sit deep and counter attack in part because too many of our players are unhappy receiving the ball under pressure and facing the wrong way. Leading to more or less useless passes sideways and backwards.
Savinho is to me good enough on the ball that he'll be able to keep and progress the ball in those situations with a good frequency. Make himself available to receive the ball in those situations too instead of relying on the right service after others have progressed the ball.
