We have multiple positions that need filling/bolstered if we are to be ac lub that is competing at the highest levels and is a club that "has more resources at its disposal" since the stadium rebuild. Two positions would not be enough for that
You don’t fix everything in one window
And it ways evolves in what we need
Christ some of our peers have had obvious issues and never addressed them too …
But I get the logic
But I also think we have to ensure ifs always the right guy now even if that means not rushing
Most people would say we needed a DM… we have one
We needed more ability to retain the ball wide and create there … we have one now
Where else are we missing? Full back IMO
The rest gets addressed by upgrading in what we have
I do think, like most sides still that only gets addressed with heavily discounted or subsidised sales and that always something that happens later in windows
Doesn’t help we pay well because that would help shift the brick

That’s all fair . Yes it can go either way. Same with Odebert.

My wider point is as a club we watched him play from January. He looked ok at times and not very good at others. We must of known Son was off we have all watched his decline . So why spend a chunk of our budget on him. We have Odebert as the young hopefully come good player.

I just think maybe we should have spent it better. We seem to have a lot of let’s hope they come good players.

In my view that’s not good enough. As I say I’d be happy to be proven wrong.

I think Tel would have been seen as a long term signing as opposed to a 'let's see how he does and go from there' type deal - we as supporters would have only been paying attention from when we signed him, the club presumably are working on more than the last few months

I would be more concerned about signing him had Ange stayed. Don't think he was a particularly good fit to how Ange used his wingers. Think he's better suited to Frank.

I get the lack of experience and proven quality. Perhaps a choice between Kudus as the more proven and then Tel or a more proven LW, young hopeful new RW?

Promised by whom?
All the experts on here, sack ange and bring in "insert manager of the moment" and we will climb the table.
Now, I have no issue with Frank or with sacking ange, but it was never as simple as many claimed.
We are not as bad as many make out, just we are not as good as many claim, what we are IMHO is a club lacking an identity and too often in transition.

The season doesn't start for another week.

I know, but after one defeat in a meaningless game it's all doom and gloom.
Even if we get badly beaten by PSG it doesn't mean anything, but I dread to think of the fall out.

Just ignore it. It's silly season. A roller coaster.
We buy kudus and almost mgw. It's all changed. We got huge money from saudis. Levy isn't in control anymore...
Then it's, squads not good enough. Levy out. Blah blah.

We'll do our business. Then see how we get on next season. We'll win some and lose some.

How many are muscular injuries?

Maddison knee
Solanke knee / Ankle
Udogie is muscle I believe?
Kulu was before Frank

Gil/Solomon I don't believe are injured

I mean silly money
We have so many players so well paid
They aren’t getting that elsewhere
We are in the top 12 payers in the world (or were)

I wish we'd say those 'silly money' wages for bonafide world class or near-world class players...

But are the likes of Gil, Solomon, Davies, Bissouma etc really on "silly wages", though?
