No idea if he's 3rd/4th/5th/6th. He hasn't been made available for loan like the others so it looks like he's staying.
Ally gold said when we signed him the club think he'd be part of the first team squad. Could make an immediate impact.
We might not know much about him. But the club seem to think he can do a job.

Not sure quite what you’re saying? I am simply saying that it was a superb win in May and it was an absolutely heroic hail Mary anomaly which in fairness we should not be measuring expectations against. Put it this way; I am not expecting a top 5 finish and I am not expecting a march to the CL Final. I used to allow myself a dream; not this season, and that has nothing to do with Frank (who I believe is a good man, good coach and will do a good job)…

You said we shouldn’t get carried away because of the month of May, I was just listing the results which were awful.

I don’t think anyone’s expecting anything outrageous this season. It’s a very young top half squad with a few clear issues.

It would be all the more palatable if the chairman hadn’t come out and said we want to win the Premier League and Champions League (any time soon).

This is the issue. We are technically net -2 attacking players since we triggered MGW release.

Net -2 players and +£60m.

So action is needed.

I’m not sure we would, as fans, suffer the misses with any tolerance
Chillwell we could get on a free at the end of the window and it may be a sensible move/gamble

Paz has been mentioned this evening after I randomly suggested him earlier .. he could be fudging class. I think there a deal we could do there with Madrid to buy him off them via a loan (they buy him back). But that’s stupidly complex of course

Eze is still there waiting for his big club move

When MGW release was met we were basically spending £60m and had a fit MGW and nearly fit Maddison in the squad.

We now have neither player for this season and the £60m remains in the bank.

Kudus was already done then.

I don’t think we actually did trigger that clause, hence why we didn’t buy him
Doesn’t mean we didn’t want to of course.
But it could have been a heavily weighted finance deal that we were planning on offering (we haven’t. Clue as fans and the ITKs hadn’t either as we now know)
One thing everyone forgets is the club is laden down with a hell of a lot of transfer debt from previous purchases, just behind United and Chelsea. We have to tread very carefully because of that and the lack of a country/sugard daddy/PE fund
