Daniel Levy - Chairman

Enjoyed the Neville/Levy interview, mainly because Gary Nev is more willing to get into a to and fro conversation and challenge or question what DL is saying.

Two things I picked out. DL (genuinely imo) saying what I think all of us were saying pre EL final...that it was all about the trophy.
And when Gary Nev said how does he (DL) expect other teams like Saudi Sportswashing Machine, Villa, Everton etc to bridge the gap?...DLs face :) ....'like this...you fudging melon' 'youre staring right at it'...as they sat in an executive box looking out at our fantastic stadium preparing for 50 cent. Do some effing hard yards.

That's it. Media/fans don't want psr because it means a new owner can't give them instant success. They'd have to build their clubs like spurs, utd, arsenal build a fan base.
Which way is more sustainable for the sport?

I get the cl money has massively distorted it. Creating mega clubs. But then argue for a fairer distribution. Uefa has a responsibility to all clubs in europe. Not just the giants.

Yes I particularly liked that bit. We have a plan to increase our revenues that isn’t through associated third party deals. Do the same yourselves.

Separate from that - I was a bit surprised there was no name check for Vinai. I appreciate the interview was recorded before he officially joined, but it had been announced.
More striking was when Levy spoke about transfers and the technical team who make the decision on who they want to sign. There was a very clear omission in respect of the Mysterious Matter of the Missing Munn.

probably this was planned for insights into levy specifically to counter the "levy out" movement.
so much stadium coverage, no deep dive into the ideas of winning on a less competitive budget.
neville would know what players come to spurs and why or why not

I think we will come to learn that the silence around Munn speaks loudly with regards to how his tenure is viewed...

It's not a great look for the club in my opinion. It adds more questions to their senior recruitment and the revolving door syndrome that we've seen with DoFs, not to mention the lack of transparency about his exit.

Must admit, when I heard one of his interviews and he talked about himself running football ops whilst the commercial team claimed all the revenues, I had some small alarm bells. It's clearly the football operation that creates most of our revenue.

I guess us fans will never know what happens on the inside.

One thing is certain about Munn he has disappeared from the new seasons Premier League Handbook, part list of top bods at the club..

All very strange...i wonder if the lack of announcement is linked to nothing yet being announced for Paratici...

Munn was definitely in last seasons handbook as Chief Football Officer but now no longer , re Paratici plenty of time since his ban ended if he was coming back but as usual it's all rumours .

And Vinai has been given much more power at the club, Munn never made it to the board.

Daniel Levy
Matthew Collecott
Vinai Venkatesham

Not on the board so just a regular employee. Then you start to see parts of your contractual job description being handed to other people at the club.

Munn's lawyers could have a load of fun with this one.

Do we think he refused our settlement agreement and is going down the contract law path?

I think that's quite possible, will be interesting to hear what @Raziel thinks on this

Doubt there will be lawyers involved , he might have had another offer from somewhere and it's all by mutual agreement that he stands down.

We've had these types before and they were all communicated.

Here's an example - https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/ne...lub's Director,of the English Football League.

For me, this was a massive loss to our football club. This was Levy's first attempt to move football operations to a role bigger than the normal DoF role. Birch clearly didn't feel right in the role and got the fantastic offer at the EFL. He is still in that position today.

Life would have been a lot calmer with Birch at the helm in my opinion.
