Transfer thread

Hahaha all fantasy … we can’t get tier 2/3 players across the line …. Why on earth would Rodrygo ever think about coming to us? …
yeah but thats my point - we need to up wages and tempt real madrid-level players who aren't getting enough game time

have you seen how arsenal, Emirates Marketing Project and chelsea have been strengthening in the current window?

At this rate we won’t be challenging for the top 6.

If it stays the way it is …

Liverpool
Arsenal
Emirates Marketing Project
Chelsea
Saudi Sportswashing Machine
Villa

All have better squads than us.

The top 5 are light years ahead of us. Even if Saudi Sportswashing Machine sell isak and get sesko in plus another.

Let’s see though I’m still looking forward in seeing what Frank can do. At the very least he doesn’t grate on me like previous managers have. Not saying that’s the best all and end all to qualify for being a good manager.

Think that we are still light in midfield, up top, a LB and a CB.

Hopefully we can shift Richy, Son, Bissouma and get upgrades.

4 competitions, 4 discrete squads. 100 players then
Last year they could have a 2nd squad in the Conference League. Wont be that easy this season.

I would think about 50 of those talented young players they scooped up on 10 year deals are all looking for a way out already!

Chelsea are signing Hato aswell as Xavi Simons. Ridiculous
I just saw a YouTube video titled "CL qualification wasted in Spurs" and although I haven't watched it did give me pause to think that he might be right. It doesn't seem like qualifying for CL makes any difference in terms of who and how we target players or even possibly what we are able to offer them.

When you look at who we've signed so far it doesn't really feel like CL participation is much of a factor. They seem like players we could have signed anyway minus the MGW supposed clause.

Anyhoo, i thought it was an interesting angle and did make me think.

More than a little truth in it IMO. I hear people talking about Levy's so-called ambition to "win the league" and what have you. Make me laugh. The message from ENIC has been absolutely clear and consistent for 25 years—jam tomorrow. Levy's speech was just more of the same, and anyone who thinks any different is just a mug in my eyes.
