Finney Is Back

I've already said that I wouldn't. I think Maddison is a better player than Eze in the centre and, while Eze would've been good for Spurs coming from the left I think we are well stocked with left sided options (Tel, Son, Odobert, Richi, Moore). That combined with Eze's age and transfer fee and the fact that we are not a Chelsea type club with unlimited budget, suggested to me that Eze was not really a key signing for us. Conversely Kudus' best position is one where we probably do need reinforcement, is younger, has a lower transfer fee, fits into our wage structure and really wanted to join our club. Other than Mbuemo, who again seemed out of our wage budget, I can't think of many players I would rather have had over Kudus to come in to play as a RWF for us.Just curious... would people have preferred Eze to Kudus and - more importantly - would he have been a better or worse fit for our needs?
A West Ham fan at my office said to me today "you have just signed our second best player and the very best one in terms of potential for relative peanuts"
