Am I the only one who thinks Wirtz for >130M isn't the no brainer everyone is making it out to be?
Just announced as agreed at £100m + £16m in add ons.Am I the only one who thinks Wirtz for >130M isn't the no brainer everyone is making it out to be?

Don't we have your Yin to @Baleforce's Yang? Balance.Probably coming to the wrong place if you want a balanced view on Liverpool mate

Anyway seems like a brick ton of money to invest in one player to me. Puts a lot of pressure on him to live up to it, quite a few of the Premier League's £100m men haven't.
If they'd sold Salah last year and bought Wirtz a year or two earlier then yeah.If he looks like being a success Liverpool will sell mo to Saudi in December and probably for more than they have paid for wirtz.
It's succession planning, we should try it some time.

Salah i think has hit that cliff already imo, i'd be surprised if he gets more than 15 goals in the league this season and i don't think in the end they'll be able to sell him for more than £20M.
I agree with your point and principle re succession planning though

I think Salah has at least another year or two in him. Although I accept some players can fall of a cliff suddenly like Toby did for us.
I think his late season form seemed to suggest he's already there to me...
Not sure I'm going to give them credit for that mate.
Salah's contract was at least influenced by fan pressure, to the point Roberts made a public post that if fans want him to stay, they need to do the same for him. Liverpool seemingly had no intention of renewing several of the older players contracts (so don't think it was some planned overlap)
