Son Heung-Min

I d

I Don’t think that fits his personality
But after watching the club dump his manager that he had faith in, methinks all bets are off.

If he feels that the club are ready to flog him to Saudi Arabia it would not surprise me if he decides if he does that. Besides if he went on a free he could go back to Germany. There would be takers, takers that could not afford the Tottenham asking price this summer.

A club like AC Milan would easily sign Son on a free next summer. Son has options if he saw out his contract. That in itself would be a reason not to Saudi this summer. But only time will tell.

Let's not frame this as Son is now leaving because of Ange going, he's not got it at the top Level anymore, he needs to go and we need to try and get something for him and not let him walk on a free

What are you talking about? Show me where I frame this as Son leaving because of Ange? Come to think of it show me where I mentioned Ange while talking about Son???

This bit I think legohamster meant
Okay, but that has nothing to do with any of the points I was making.

Suffice to say I would see out my contract and at the end of the season make a decision whether I want to remain in Europe or go to Saudi for the money. And if I chose the later, which is not a definite, I would earn myself an enormous signing on fee.

By the way, Son has seen managers come and go, I doubt the sacking of another manager will be the thing that makes him want to leave.

I am pretty sure that if for instance we signed Thomas Frank and he told Son you will remain my captain, he would not want to go anywhere.

His EL match shirt auction, supposedly only Messi shirts have sold for more in this auction

Will Sonny get game time under Frank, he will be 33 in July and I think it's pretty evident that he has lost a little bit of the speed that has made him so dangerous over the years, not sure he still has what it takes at PL level. If he did go to Saudi would bring some welcome transfer funds into the club , he would have have a bumper payday end to his career and leave Spurs at the very top as the fourth silverware winning captain in Euro competition in Spurs history.

weirdly though he won't want to admit it, I think that Sonny is one of the team who will possibly benefit from the departure of Ange. He's found the demands of Ange ball hard, and isn't suited to playing left side in an Ange team - a true left footer is what was needed who wants to go outside, drive into the box and square it.

If Frank is coming in, which now it appears is a matter of time, Sonny might find his approach easier to adapt to.

If we sit deeper also gives more space for him to run into.

It's a dilemma for Levy , his new CEO and Frank to sort out , do we keep Sonny for one more season or cash in now.

Forget the finances … he should go not to tarnish his memories as an absolute weapon in his pomp… one of the most loveable men I’ve ever seen out on the pitch let alone in a spurs shirt.

Was unplayable at times and still to this day watch some his old goals and think jeez we were so lucky to have him.

Out of all the players, watching Sonny lift that trophy will forever be in my memory, couldn’t have happened to a nicer bloke.

Son's a weird one

- to others point, no one will begrudge him that trophy and what he has contributed in his 10 years at the club.

The question is how does Frank see him? the role Ange had for him just doesn't work, Son isn't that player anymore. Brentford had some cute, direct passes that freed the 2nd attacker (the guy around Tony or Wisser) to one touch on to goal, that could still work for Son.

Either way, if he choses to move on (to keep playing for longer, or just wants to walk away on top), all the best for him.

I think some data you posted showed the most likely formation to be 4-2-3-1. For me that allows Kulu and Madds to play better in the same team and I also think it may suit Johnson more, especially if the 3 can play laterally.

Back in the day Sonny played with Dele and Eriksen in a 4-2-3-1. I'm not sure he's the player for that now, I think Sonny would work better playing with Solanke in a 2 man front line.
