I'm sure that the oddballs in the forum who take umbridge at you being a wordsmith, would be relieved to hear you reverting to the fundamentals on that one...

fudge them indeed. I haven't spoken to any of my United supporting acquaintances, the silence is sweeter than kicking people whilst they're down but I still can't believe we got one over them when it mattered. fudging class.

I look forward to a more long form overview of the final / reaction for when it comes, but for now, a massive cheers for putting in the work over the season to give a different option to noisy clickbait style coverage of our mighty and rather quirky club

I do dabble in some bird photography, but they are very ordinary in comparison to your species there.
British garden birds, trying very hard not to say tits!, mainly but I've been to a couple of bird of prey displays which is where I picked up the tidbit about mantling.

Can't believe I've done two posts on mantelpieces and not cracked a joke about having the EL trophy on ours.

This shoebill is a rare bird of course. Only 5 in the US, 3 are in Tampa and I was there on tour thus had the opportunity to sit with them for a considerable amount of time. Wonderous creatures. We have lots of red tail hawks, owls and the like on the Nor Cal coast...when I was a kid my Dad was a member of the RSPB so we'd go to Leiston in Suffolk on bird watching trips. Something must've stuck...
