*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Crystal Palace FC ***

Yeah I didn't really understand all the praise he was getting. I still haven't really seen anything to justify the price tag. He may well turn out to be a top player, but he's hardly a top talent as it stands and he's another player for a position we are already very well stocked in.

Odobert primary plays on the left, on top of that we have Son, Soloman and Moore. Do we really need Tell who hasn't even impressed?

And TBH I don't think we need a player because we negotiate a better deal, thats what got us in trouble in the past

I see it quite simply really. If we were doing well there would be oodles of praise and pages and pages of effusive commentary, but it's a continuum, for that level of praise to exist there has to be the possibility of the opposite. For all the times things are going well there will be an equal amount of criticism when it is failing.

Now you may well want to be Mr Ever Positive or even Mr Find the Context that Soothes the Pain and that is entirely your prerogative, but that doesn't work for me because I don't really believe in excuses. Especially when Ange has negated the vast majority of them himself.
It seems the only joy you find is in believing you're right about how bad we are/the season's gone/how awful some of the fanbase, players and manager are.
It's far more preferable to be Mr Positive or Mr Context than to be you.
It's a sorry state of affairs that there's an awful lot of 'fans' like you who are joyfully squirming out of the wordwork to parade their negatvity, misery and pain loudly.
Hell, if we manage to win the Europa, I'm really interested to see how quickly so many of you take a dump on the achievement

Your perspective of my viewpoint is yours.
I cannot deny that.
What I can say is that it is lazy and uninformed.

BTW I believe there are NO excuses; I do, however, believe in searching for reasons.

Oh what utter gonads!
I suppose we should then refer to other posts as 'rumination'?

Nobody is excusing anything, but how many fudging times can the same thing be said over and over again?

Here's the facts.
We are trying to guard as many as possible for one game.
We are brick in the league.
The reality is we have one game left which matters; I agree we should try to win every game we play, however the truth is, 'victory' against Palace and Villa will be avoiding serious injury.

As for the 'money spent' yeah I get it, having spent many thousands and thousands over the decades to witness some awful performances, I absolutely know how it feels.
It's going to be said game after game if the performances are a shambles game after game. You know the way to avoid the criticisms? Play well.

Again if we were wining every game 5 nill you wouldn't be complaining about the no doubt repetitive praise that would no doubt be a constant feature. So why is it an issue when the critique follows the nature of our results? Is it only ok if the repetitive commentary is of the positive kind?

I have a question

Can someone using reason and context explain our tactics.

Why are we set up the way we are regardless of personnel, leading to 20 defeats, and explain why it continues when he has when forced to adapted it to success.
