***OMT*** Tottenham Hotspur v Bodø/Glimt*** Europa League Semi-Final Second-Leg Thursday May 8th, KO 8pm

Didn't like a comment I picked up from Kulusevski. He said natural grass is significantly faster than artificial grass pitches. If that is what the whole team thinks, they're in for a massive surprise!
The thing is, that you need to play in a different way on artificial grass. On natural grass, you can come into the press full pelt, and just stamp your foot down to decelerate and stop. That doesn't work on this surface. You ned to kind of tip toe or you'll lose your footing or get off balance. The surface also helps players with lower technical ability to cope with playing faster.
I'm a bit worried that they're not taking the challenge as serious as they should.

My heart and Sole Hakes for those who travelled out there but haven’t got a Plaice in the ground tomorrow.

Brill for those that have but UEFA Whitling down the already scarce tickets was a load of Pollacks.

the rubber pellets on the artificial pitch reacts differently with the ball though. i think kulu is referencing his style of play tapping the ball forwards quickly, and the drag from the rubber pellets may cause him to underhit the ball.

just saw the weather forecast and it looks like rain all week. that should make the pitch a lot faster.

more importantly I hope ange has been making the boys play more on 3G pitch at home and not just 24 hours before the match.

The guys last week told me how to say it and it was more like Border

Not like it really matters, but the comms on the Arse game yesterday, and I think most English comms now, pronounce the Ø in Ødegaard correctly. It's the same sound in Bodø.

The good old fireworks outside the hotel trick was deployed last night. Thing is, Bodø is so small that their players must've heard it as well. 😂

In YT videos posted I haven't seen the outfield players touch a ball yet during pre game practice at the arena. Hope they don't ignore that factor, it's a big factor and a huge variation with how the ball behaves on different plastic pitches.

COYS!

Fecking hell, I thought Norwegians were civilised.

Yeah that training clip is weird. They did a load of stretching and jogging but shouldn't they be getting some balls out for at least a few minutes and knock it around a bit and get a feel for the pitch and get used to the bounce etc.?

Tonight is gonna be stressful isn't it!?

Training videos fall into the same category as pre match press conferences, you'll learn little about the up coming game from them, a complete waste of time watching either.

Bodø has said that the football field should be watered so much that it splashes on the pitch.

It will always be stressful for a semi final of a cup competition but at least we go in with a lead. Just have to find our feet fast as if we don’t we could find ourselves a goal down within ten minutes and then it gets even more stressful.
