Vinai Venkatesham - CEO

Personally, I'd still like the club to explain more about all the roles at the club. We are supposed to have a commercial side and a football operations side and I still wonder whether he has oversight on both. That would mean the chief football officer role (Munn) reports into him and every one on the football side reports to Munn.

What does it mean for Cullen, Caplehporn and Collecott though? They are both board members and have day to day duties at the club. Is that a conflict of interest? Will Vinai get to properly manage these people?

Also, who looks after the commercial pillar of the business now, and what would Levy be doing day to day?

I'd have thought that Levy's priority would be the financing and construction of the hotel. Presumably another complex development in terms of funding, planning and building approvals etc etc.
You'd have thought that the CEO would want a Commercial Director reporting to him, alongside a Football Operations Director. The Commercial side of the club is clearly going well so to state the obvious, the football side- appointing a new manager and getting the scouting right will be his immediate priorities.

Vinai is CEO, basically everyone other than levy reports to him, and I suspect he will make some restructuring.

I'd also assume the "board" in this case is simply a LT group including Levy & Vinai for major decisions, strategy/direction signoff and ensuring whatever stakeholder obligations are met.

This isn't about duty swaps, it's about the growth of a company. THFC today is way more than it was 5 years ago, not to mention 15. It's delegating more and having people who can focus on execution so the leadership can focus on the right things (more long term future)

Me thinks you're guessing as much as the next person. To be fair you do write the word "assume".

Levy - https://find-and-update.company-inf...cers/GmEJorViWZCgqpF5O40rge5g1ZA/appointments
20 appointments

Collecott - https://find-and-update.company-inf...cers/d1rzazu3mF-LQEgdJp37cdf324A/appointments
10 active appointments

Caplehorn - https://find-and-update.company-inf...cers/XSZGTDEqPzHPOXc5mm3rcCbiU1w/appointments
2 active appointments

Vinai - https://find-and-update.company-inf...cers/6UaJrwyD_kygnVYj_P70Z8-TP_g/appointments
1 active appointment (GB olympics)

Nobody really knows whether we have a true board or whether decisions are made in command and control mode by Levy (or delegated down). Nobody really knows who is accountable for what functions across all these people. We probably won't be told either. They don't need to tell us as we're just fans, not true stakeholders.

I actually think it would clear up a lot if the org chart and accountabilities were shared by Levy. I'd also be interested to see how these different limited companies fit together under one holding company (assumption). It would probably even help Levy build fan confidence in this new and recently built structure if it was shared better. Perhaps there is more info to come in due course.

As a club, not very transparent, so I wouldn't hope for much there.

Vinai was responsible for the entire Arsenal Football Club.
He wouldn't come here for anything smaller - at the very least he is responsible for all football.

He also has had success restructuring Arsenal and before that as commercial manager that helped them land deals to fund the stadium rebuild and squad. My guess is he'd make the same changes ... so munn, lange, ange etc. is at risk.

On the other hand he could end up like Adebayor and here for esteem purposes and a final payday.

He' not allowed to be till the end of June. Though he's at nearly every game

My understanding is he can not hold an official role but can do consulting, which the club has admitted to doing.

He was mentioned for a couple of clubs in Italy, my understanding (not sure if changed) is he has not taken another role (which he can as you said at end of June)

I would not be surprised to see some changes in summer that include Paratici back in a designated role.

He still hasn't taken any official role yet.

I'm guessing this guy is coming in for Munns as there is some talk of him going an a restructure of some departments (medical being one, but we know we have been advertising for some rolls)

I do wonder why VV would swap the more successful Arse, where he was fully embedded, for Spurs. Is it just money? A new challenge? Did he fall out with someone there?

from all accounts that i can dig up it seems they parted ways on good terms as vv wanted a new challenge and without a job. maybe he was burnt out? or secretly got tired with the job and fans getting on his back (e.g. the sack arteta years).

the real question is why does he want to join us knowing the rivalry between the two clubs and risking the wrath of arsenal fans. i am sure he is paid more here and the the commercial scope here is much bigger but is that enough? whats stopping him from being a spy-snake and ensure we remain bottom table :)
