PEH deserved a start
I said it his thread previously
But also that when he starts his record is so bad
I thought bentacur was decent. Kept the ball and moved with it
But I haven’t watched it back on TV so I could be wrong
Maddison is the favourite I meant. He has been so so bad
 
Thought Bentancur was alright first half, surprised to see him subbed but totally understand that he’d want Sarr’s attributes on the pitch as well.

I thought Bentancur started well and said so to my young fella after 10 mins. Within 3 minutes he hit 3 shocking passes and he didn't improve from there.

I absolutely love Bentancur as a player, I think he's very close to world class when he's at his best. But he still looks like he's struggling after the long lay off to me. He deserves time to put it right but some of that may have to be from the bench because Sarr was really good when he came on today as was Bissouma.

On Maddison, I agree. He was shocking and has been for months. I'd play Deki in the 10. Thought he did more in his first 5 minutes there today than Maddison did in the entire game.

I think all the players struggle post injury
Especially those that have had operations
I think he is class but not sure how and where he fits in
I don’t wanna sound like a broken record but players we know excelled in counter attacking don’t always work in possession ball
Logic says that players as good as bentacur and kulu should adapt and they are still young enough

Son worries me though
 
Looks to be getting back towards his best. Good performance overall against a very good team.

Think he was just frustrated when subbed. Had the chance just before half time to set up a great chance. Didn't manage to stop the attack for the goal.

Also more generally though he's getting there with form and physically I get the impression that his body still isn't quite able to do what it could before the injuries. That too will be frustrating.

I'm quite happy to see that frustration.

He's frustrated because he was playing well and the sub was on him, he was on a yellow and made a tackle, the ref then called Son across and clearly said that was "last chance", two mins later Ange pulls him ..

We look better when Bentancur is playing anything near his capability. his ability in tight spaces and some of his runs/passes yesterday were brilliant.
