Radu Dragusin

99% of these Spurs podcasts go by what they have seen on youtube and non of them have actually watched the player over a long period, I wouldn’t go by what they say.

We have frankly (not on here before people jump) the most embarrassing social media fans in the game. Even other clubs are now mocking us for it. This blokes signed, you would have thought we had killed someone last night
Yeah the discussion on here is much better than any other Spurs' social media platform but what I've seen on FB, Twitter and even LinkedIn from our fans is ridiculous. I'd be taking the tinkle if it was any other club. We definitely have our own share of roosterwombles.

To be fair, I reckon every club is the same, people are people - I just see more Spurs stuff for obvious reasons.

They did say it a bit tongue in cheek, but as a counterweight to all the hype that seems to build up over players most people know nothing about. This guy has a long thread on Twitter where he writes on Dragusin's abilities having watched a lot of Genoa matches:

So what do we think his role will be?

So far Romero and VDV have been the starters - will Radu challenge that this season or is he depth and cover for injury and suspension?

Or a rotation option depending on the type of opposition (Ange doesn’t really seem that type), maybe in the cup?

That thread says he played centrally at Genoa in a three, but also defends well in wide areas - will we see him as cover at LB too??

Really great to have good depth and I’m more than happy just to let him settle, just wondering how he’ll forced his way into the starting eleven.

I'm skeptical as to whether Bayern were actually in for him, so much gonad*s gets written around a transfer - people need to remember that all these social media accounts get paid for clicks so it's in their interest for there to be drama, if there is none there's nothing to stop them inventing it.
'We can't believe we turned down Bayern Munich. Radu had given his word to Spurs and chose to respect this. We're all still mindblown a bit'.

From his agent.....

Spurs YT is an utter mess, last night being an example, not a sensible head amongst them or insight to how football works. Just seems a load of people with no responsibility on what they say, licence to spout rubbish.

He'll regret it when he's eating beans on toast in the pizzing rain and his train to Dover is late 🙃

It's only speculation on my part but I wonder if we may see Romero moving forward in to midfield if Dragusin hits the ground running. Romero has the skillset to be an incredible DM imo and having strong competition at CB may see us use him in that position.

Having said that it's unlikely that we'll have both fit / not suspended at the same time the way Romero is! People always banged on about Royal at CB and to be fair it actually happened and he's done well there, I don't see why Romero couldn't thrive in midfield if the circumstances presented themselves. Either way, assuming we have actually got this wrapped up it's an impressive window already as we've made assertive moves to cover problem positions.

Romero could play midfield for sure but I believe Ange will want players to play their key role in one position
Nice option to have

Very good and impressive start to the window after only 10 days.

Hopefully we move more out and maybe raise some funds to bring in a midfielder, and who knows maybe one more after that, but we have 3 weeks to sort that now. Main priorities sorted in first 2 weeks. Well done all at the club

His role will be to play when the manager wants and need him to play.
