Mighty Spurs vs Everton

Skipp was no worse than Sarr today, just spacegoating.
Not really, Skipp’s role in the 6 is to get the ball of the centre backs and get us going.

He struggled to do that for most of the game. No shame on him its just a role he appears to not be suited to.

Only Bentancur and Bissouma appear capable of doing it well which leaves us in a real pickle as they are both out medium term.

Understatement of the year hey. With VDV, Romero, Udogie, Maddison, Richarlison, Bentancur, Bissouma etc.. all missing large chunks!!! Compare that to Arsenal who just started their best 11 for the 236th time in a row and we are doing excellent
When we drew with them.. Everyone was so sorry that rice had to go off like it made a massive difference..

They stopped mentioning all our misses

Sarr's role isn't to bring the ball out and keep it though. That's Skipp's, and he wasn't good enough at it.

Not just singling Skipp out either, more in response to the criticism of Bissouma. Vicario and Royal the only 2 who played well in my opinion (and Lo Celso in his short time on the pitch.)
Wasn't directed at you particularly just saw a lot of anti-Skipp chat and he did do some progressive stuff.

That was absolutely shocking. After 30 mins, we were abysmal. There is no game management or discipline in our team.

To be 2-1 up and be caught with both our full backs on the edge of their box is ridiculous. Two minutes later, we’re caught 3 on 2. You cannot play football like that.

Very very lucky. Very lucky. We barely deserved a point from that, much less 3.

No idea who MOTM was.
Some better finishing / last pass and it's 3-0 and then 3-1 in both of those situations though. That's how we're setup to play. Not that I think we played well or deserved it, but I don't think there's anything "naive" about it.

...naïve? By what criteria/definition?
Two mins to go, we are attacking and Royal and Porro are central on the edge of their box. That’s bonkers stuff. We lost it and got lucky Everton made nothing of it.

Not two minutes later, we’re caught 3 v 2 and were lucky that Danjuma took the wrong option. Crazy and naive.

Not once did we take the ball to the corner to run down the clock.

We’re a brilliant watch but you can’t win things playing like that. Today was awful on so many levels.

It’s naive, with less than 5 minutes to go in a game where you’re lucky to be ahead, to have your full backs that advanced. It’s madness.

Talking about missing players has merit but the game management was ridiculous.

Why is it naive? Naive says there's a lack of judgement...a lack of decision making. There is absolutely decision making in those situations. It's go and get the 3rd goal and kill the game off, which we nearly did (Son fluffed his lines twice including the pass to Johnson that went out for a goal kick.)

The word you're looking for is risky, not naive.

I agree with your context but it wasn’t luck they didn’t score. It their lack of quality

It’s a complete lack of judgement which is naive. The job is to win the game. You don’t go pushing for a third in that situation with your full backs that advanced and leave the back door open where you can be outdone and outnumbered with a simple ball forward if you cough up possession.

I was really, really tinkled off watching it. Couldn’t believe what I was watching.

You're not going to enjoy Ange then, sorry.

And we won the game, right?
