How good is this team going to be when Maddison returns, really looking forward to it. Can't really understand the hate for Gil, I really like him but each to their own. He moves, he's actively trying to make things happen, and yes his passing leaves something to be desired but at least they're in the right direction. He works hard, makes himself available and isn't afraid of the ball. I think he has contributed at least as much per minute played as say, Richarlison who also works hard but hasn't really left the ground for 18 months (hopefully until today?). Gil had two really good games, one against Portsmouth in the cup where he was unstoppable (edit: after which he was dropped).
If we give him as much lenience and time as a couple of other players, I think he will come good.

We were sensational. The football was breathtaking at times. Whatever I think of the limits we can reach, time will tell, but I could watch that all day.
Whole team played well but thought Sarr, Biss, Sonny and Davies were pick of the bunch.
