***TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Chelsea OMT***

They wouldn’t have if we had 11 men on
And we did we have already done some of those teams already

We haven't played those sides with 9 men...funnily enough we played one of those when THEY had 9 men but found it MUCH harder to win against them than Chelsea did tonight...

I liked some of the 'bravery' but some of it was naive to the extreme. Having 20 minutes of Conte-ball in that second half might have secured a point. We kept giving Chelsea masses of space unneccesarily and this Chelsea side looked poor.

If some of the older heads on here can assure me with detail how this is NOT simply Ardiles football, i'd be most appreciative
Personally, I’d have done what Klopp did. Their performance against us with 9 men was unbelievably good. They worked their nuts off and defended their box with their lives.

But Klopp is Klopp and Ange is Ange. He’s been lauded on here for his principles and it’s no surprise he stuck to them. I admire him for that. And, let’s be fair, those clams scored 2 goals in injury time and struggled to beat us. We had 9 men so no matter what we did, the odds were very, very heavily stacked against us.

It’s so much smarter than ardiles ball
For a start w shave centre backs who can play
We don’t just throw 6 men forward at all times
It’s much smarter
Ardiles ball may have worked well with better defensive players TBF

These CBs who can play...are you including Dier, Emerson and Hojbjerg in that list?

I realy dont care about the loss, but I care about us having to play the next 2-3 months without VDV.
Next game will be without Romero, VDV, doggy and maybe Madders…

We have a problem that we need a CB with speed Dier dont give is that.. so Davies LCB…
I think this game hurt us more than 3 points.

Romero: I dont think that should have been a red, he hits the ball and the force that hit the leg was not that bad.
Doggy is young, stupid yea…
I love the way the team fight and playes.

I just hope this game dont lose us 2-3 games..

I don't mind losing but at least make it difficult and adjust your preferences to the situation, i,e. have a plan B!

They would have been 2-0 at half time and we would continue defending the rest of the second half.

that would be a better result than we got tonight
Are you doing that thing where you're saying loads of ridiculous incorrect outlandish things and calling them "jokes"?

Fair enough if you're blackout drunk or whatever as it'd be rather hypocritical for me to call you out on that but if you're not inebriated and being sincere then definitely get some context and maybe think / reflect instead of typing for a little bit.

I’m heavily inebriated and thinking out loud, I’m very very disappointed with the outcome of an event, over which I had no actual influence, and externalising my emotions.

The jokes are the funny ones (if you didn’t get them, you can spot them by the multiple likes), the others are the cries for help/self therapy that such situations land all of us thusly afflicted in.

You really found a negative in that? Yes we made mistakes, but our passing and movement was faster and more crìsp. Yes we got hit on the counter after we lost 2 to sendings off and another couple through injury. But we still played well and had the possibility of winning it.

We got pumped 1-4, from a game we dominated and should have won at a canter, we had two players needlessly sent off, two players injured, there were clear signs for 30 mins that our system was creaking, I find it difficult to find a positive to night.
I would rather have been robbed by a dodgy var than us capitulate like that.

Fair enough. I’ve no problem with it personally. We did make it tough for them given we had 9 men. It would have take all sorts of luck to get through that second half without conceding.

I'd rather us play like this than conte ball.

Funny thing is we used a low block in a number of Anges first games. I think he just wanted to win it. And we almost scored a couple even with 9. Bentancur and Dier so close.

Reverse your thinking then. We dominated the game and should have won it. Yes players got sent off and we got some injured. But it is about the way we play that is the positive. Not individual players.

Spursey?😖

a team that brick, we shouldn't be making it tough for them, we should be taking it easy on them after establishing a double digit lead
