***TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Luton OMT***

Phew. Never make it easy, dug deep. We looked very sharp straight out the traps. Have to score those early chances. Kulu, Cuti and Micky were excellent, Micky just edging it for me, he's perfect for Ange ball. So good to watch when he's got a player trying to run him, haven't been so relaxed since Ledley in those situations.
Top of the league!! COYS.

With a chance to go top, I thought we would blow it and go spurzy...as usual.
Top 4 maybe... if were lucky... on that performance!
On an optimistic note well done to the lads for hanging in there....
Richalrson needs to understand where the goal is!

nice to see players fighting to the last minute, bravely attacking when it makes sense to.
ange has done well with this group.
ange still has a lot to work to do in defence imo.

Talk about riding our luck.
So fortunate they weren't able to score either.
But, we need to be taking those early, open chances. What a different game that would have been.
Did very well to hang in there though.

Well played Kulu, Sarr (apart from a bit of sloppy passing at one stage), VDV and Romero.
Sorry for just quoting you Glenda

I feel this talk of being lucky is a bit glass half empty. We played half the game with 10 men and still had twice the xg of Luton and 67% possession and more shots and more on target….

Why were we lucky? Because they missed a couple of good chances? Well we did the same and some in the first half.

That's fair enough.
I think it was just the nerves really in the second half, it felt that we had a few lucky escapes, which wouldn't have mattered had we taken a couple of those first half chances.

Porro was a baller again today, he deserves his own chant. The outside of the foot attempt was close and it's huge having a player with that level of quality all the way up and down the right side (and occasionally in the centre given the inverted fullback thing going on) who also takes on every challenge / tackle like it's his last.

I love him! He's one of those players that is just fired up for every minute of every game, sort of bloke you'd want watching your back in the trenches.

We made our luck

they were always gonna get some chances
But the fact we kept the ball
Kept them away from goal
And worked the counter really well
That’s not luck… if it is… it’s made from great coaching and play

He is such an option when he comes into midfield because he believes in his ability to pass and shoot
And defensively his game has improved a lot
Another player who wears his heart on his sleeve

He knows
It’s just that he is technically not at the level of the rest of the team

Yeah I don’t think we were lucky either. We should have been 4-0 up at half time. Was inevitable we would concede chances being a man down. I was very happy with how we managed the game in the second half. Don’t think we played great as a team but we dug in. Romero and VDV were rocks today. And Vicario was solid.

Bissouma’s red card was plain stupid. Both yellows were deserved and totally unnecessary. And now one yellow away from another ban lol.

I don’t know what to say about Richarlison. I actually think he played well against Sheff Utd and Liverpool but he’s so woeful in front of goal and clearly has zero confidence. I think the fans have been patient with him and he winds up away fans who get on his back and he just gets more annoyed. I’d play him in home games but would be tempted to bench him for away games until he can find some sort of goalscoring form. My worry is he’s never been a goalscorer despite people bringing up the “Brazil’s number 9 line” constantly. It’s a worthless statement given how average Brazil are.
