***TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Arsenal OMT***

I find it so hard to give a decent opinion of NLD's because I spend the whole game bricking it when L'Arse are in our final third.
We were decent,
- Kulu was excellent, beat the press so many times such a clever player with his body
- Udogie was so so good carrying that yellow from so early on, such a mature performance what a signing
- Thought Maddison had a quiet game at times and still got two assists
- I love Sonny more every day!
- Micky yes I love him too, he's so good
- Disappointed in Bissouma today. Thought he looked off the pace at times and don't really understand why it took him until the last minute to receive the ball on the half turn and drive at them.
- I have more trust in Vicario with every game

A decent performance but really think we could have taken the initiative a lot more, Ange is way more pragmatic than the narrative suggests, or maybe he's just waiting for things to bed in a bit more. Either way we look set for a very enjoyable exciting season.
COYS.

I'd have given Son man of the match. 2 goals and the first goal was a peach the way he got a perfectly placed shot off after moving into that tiny space with 3 defenders around him. But Madders set them both up with great movement so it was neck & neck really.

Think Madders did more on the first than any Son involvement in the goals. If we're splitring them I'd go 60% Maddison, 40% Son.

I read this site and I think do these people support Spurs? I'm sure some would be far happier to lose today and write I told you so and the manager got it wrong. This was a big result as we played our game not the timid hope we nick a point crap. Everyone in media wrote us off before kick off.

Plenty of positivity on here today, alongside some understandable venting of nervous energy during the game.

Not sure what you expect to see.

Was 2-2 but we've beaten Arsenal psychologically.
They were dull up front and only have two undeserved gold to claim. It's obvious that their bench isn't strong enough yet for CL and the league title and they know it.

There's a lesson there for us too and need still quite a bit of transfers to have a bench that is suitable for angeball next season when we're back in Europe.

Gil and Bentancur can't come back soon enough.

I thought before the game started it would end 2-2 . The way the game played out was intriguing. We were too safe on the half turn under their press and struggled to get the ball out of our half, but not in the way we did under Conte when it was clear we had no ideas. Today the possiesjok was really good just lacking a bit of bravery. Then they scored and it forced us to be more proactive and we put tons of pressure on them and got the well deserved equaliser. I think from that point we really had the better of the game. They get the dodgy pen but we struck straight back.

It's a real shame Maddison had to come off as with him, Son and I do think the threat of Johnson's pace we lost the edge we had gained in the match. It's a bit concerning that Richy wasn't really able offer anything in terms of running in behind or holding up the ball. Hojberg and Solomon were a drop off in terms of effectiveness but werent too bad. I think it was lack of thready from Richy that largley blunted us.

A shame we didn't win it as that would have been a great marker for the season but i was happy enough to have performed and shut the overly confident Arsenal fans up.

I didn't really understand all the concern re Udogie, he did very well against Saka. No one is going to come out on top in every 1 on 1 but he won the majority of them and never seemed overly troubled imo.

Did anyone miss Kane? Before the whistle I was saying we would definitely miss his NLD goals, but to be honest I think we did well without him. Surprised how quickly we have moved on without him. NLD for me will be the turning point in his departure

It's not kane I regret selling, it's that o g guy, it's really come back to bite us.

After the early jitters that was a lot better than I was expecting.
If we were playing that game in say November, after a bit more Angeball, I think we'd have finished the winners. We could have done so today with just a touch more luck.
Lots of strong performances out there, for a group of players still getting adjusted to each other and the playing style.
I almost feel disappointed that we drew, which is ridiculous really.

And how annoying is it (although I know it has been this way forever) that because Sky have to cram in games we lose all the post game stuff because they have to move onto the next game. Yes, I moan about the pundits and the bias and the ill informed comments, but it still feels like we are being short changed for our money.
Watching now on SSN so I suppose I still get to see the interviews etc but interpersed with other stuff.

Or just a competent ref...felt he hardly gave us a thing. Fell for all their play-acting, missed a clear yellow card, possible red, amongst other things

I was very skeptical pre season and even more so when Harry went to Bayern. But Bissouma is like a new signing Pape Saar looking good for a youngster and Udogie is great. Most impressive for me so far is Vicario. I didn`t know anything about him but he looks comfortable with his feet and very good shot stopper. Basically all our new signings have looked great and Son and Kulu look back to their best. Maddison has been outstanding.
I know it`s early but just the football we are playing is so much better than the last couple of seasons. Just that alone is enough to get the fans excited no matter where we end up in the table

They got a deflected own goal and a MASSIVELY debatable penalty (Maddison tackled the shot which deflected up onto Romero's hand, which was only outstretched because he was putting his right leg flat and his left knee to the floor, you try doing that without raising your left arm!).

We scored class goals, but only really turned it on when we HAD to. We could have played with more need and more belief and got the win.
