Circus ManUnitus - Erik's At The Wheel

Yesterday I heard a pundit saying how ETH had more points in his first year than Klopp or Pep did (or something like that) but they have all sorts of issues going on on there. Also when you look at their team on paper it looks like dog brick, how do they grind out as many points as they have is a mystery!

opposition players are scared of the badge and referees are intimidated by Old Trafford

From what I’ve seen of Bayern it could be a much closer game than people think
Bayern look very meh…
They weren't good on Friday, but Leverkusen are no mugs! Both those teams are comfortably way better than yanaited atm. Bayern aren't what they used to be, but at home in a CL game, with Harold.... Can't see anything other than a home win, and if they really get going, we could see arsenal numbers vs bayern

Wasn’t comfortable was it and a dodgy penalty really helped
United are brick and could have taken that game

Bayern played like brick but every time they needed a goal they got it in less than 5 minutes.

Add in, Reguilon looked like one of their best players for the second game in a row, says a lot.

ETH's side don't know how to defend or manage a game, they also only play for bursts, trying to have a side with Eriksen, Casimiro & Bruno press for 90 minutes as a concept is hilarious

IMO both sides are massively over rated because they have names
United are brick because ETH is a stubborn nutter
Bayern still don’t have a defence

They need to stop with the counter attacking football thing. A counter attack is ok if it comes as a by product of a natural break in the game. But because of their history they are obsessed with counter attacking.

The game has moved on and that can only work if you have the best players in the world, football has caught up and the difference in quality between premiership teams is not what it was 20 years ago.

This can't end well. Blaming the players for being lazy won't work, even if he has a valid point. If they are not bothered about following his instructions he has already failed.

Erik ten Hag: I don’t know why my players aren’t pressing

Footage of one Bayern counterattack, in which the referee outpaced Facundo Pellistri, Scott McTominay, Marcus Rashford — and others — as they ambled back towards their own box, will trouble Ten Hag, who told his players from day one that they must work hard off the ball.

When asked if he knew why his players had stopped pressing and tracking back, Ten Hag said: “No. When you are in a period like we are in, you always as a manager ask yourself these questions. My job is to get them to do the job.”

Ten Hag plans to hold talks with the players and use video analysis as part of his bid to rectify the problem.

“As a manager you have many tools and I make sure I use them,” he said.

“You have to be creative; you have to be innovative. You do it in groups, individually, you do it over video, you do it in personal talks. You have many tools to coach, to make sure the team is
in the right direction.”

There's rumours they're trying to get Arne Slot now. Seems like a strange choice, considering he's almost a carbon copy of ten Hag.
