Circus ManUnitus - Erik's At The Wheel

Unfortunate for the poor girl, but legally innocent until proven guilty and as twisted as any of us may find it that's the legal position and why they are all tip toeing around it.
Not quite the right statement
The only factual thing is he hasn’t been proven guilt6 in a court due witnesses pulling out of the case

Person of status gets away with it. Never thought I’d see the day.

Nothing to do with status. It happens all the time. Guy was battering his mrs and my mate (who knew them both) saw it and gave him a slap. Guess what happened? She sided with her fella and they prosecuted my mate to try and get criminal compo. We had to have words with them and get it dropped.

Another time another mates sister phoned him up. Said her bloke had beaten her up. We went round gave him a few slaps. The neighbours called the police and my mate got arrested for it. She was back with him the next week. I said to my other mate we shouldn't have bothered. He said at least he knows if he hits her again he's going to get battered.

Domestics are fudging messy. There is no logic to some of them.

I totally understand why [some] men might see giving someone a taste of their own medicine as exactly what they deserve and hope it will make them think twice about beating up their partner again.
But the problem is it a) reenforces violence as being acceptable (and so for the abused helps 'normalise' what they have to endure); and b) probably make things worse for the abused as they'll take another battering in response.
But definitely not easy situations to fathom and often (as discussed above) multi-faceted reasons why abused women* stay in such relationships even when there appears to be a way out.
*(And those men as well of course, who are also the victims of domestic abuse, but less spoken about).

You may well be right in the situation above but if any bloke put his hands on my sister or daughter, I’d do exactly the same as @Lilbaz. You don’t and she sticks with him, the fella gets away with it Scot free and will keep doing it.

Your second point is also spot on and I know from first hand experience. Had a ex wife who tended to get a bit aggressive with drink in her. Everyone including my mates to my solicitor thought it was almost funny “ah sure she’s so much smaller than you, not like she could hurt you much.” While she never did any damage, that really wasn’t the point.

My sister in law married 2 blokes who hit her and then lived with an other abuser, it's a deep psychological problem with some.

I thought he was released? How can they loan him out? Wasn't there a "mutual" agreement they he was no longer a man united player?
There was a mutual agreement to brush it under the carpet and for Greenwood to take something that was on offer this summer to get away from the club.

At no point have Utd made any agreement to take any kind of financial loss on their asset.

All they said was that it was best if he restarted his career somewhere else. Gives them them the option of trying again next year.

Where are all the comments on how we fudged up by not getting ETH?

Was that when we got Nuno instead? Some can't just enjoy when things are going well and need to try to make it an argument I guess.

It's a different set up but Ten Haag has got CL qualification and won a trophy with United, that used to be the absolute minimum expectation but times have changed. I don't think anyone would have expected them to suddenly be challenging City even with money to burn as they don't seem to be spending it well.

With ETH it could have worked here for him at the time. Like anyone who was wanting Kompany this summer, just because it's not going swimmingly with Burnley current doesn't mean it wouldn't have gone well or won't at some point in the future.

Always lovely to see Bruno on the losing side though, I might get flak for this but even if it's against Arsenal, they have nobody that can compete on a cretinous level (on the pitch at least). Also odd to see how Sancho has struggled and that it's being played out in public. It's hard to tell if it's for good reason from the outside but with this and Ronaldo's exit it does look like Ten Haag likes a feud with his players.

Talk of Antony being investigated in Brazil for domestic violence now too, Utd are a dumpster fire right now.
