***TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Bournemouth OMT***

Excellent performance. Bissouma and Sarr excellent. Maddison imperious. Romero solid. I gave him some stick last week and he got rolled easy once today but VdV was brilliant I thought. Deki had a great second half. Great movement/run for his goal. Udogie is a star.

Really happy with that. Fair play Ange.
Let's hope they avoid injuries from fatigue...seems like certain players are very overused in the last three games

It does work across all games, except to those who make a conscious choice to take umbrage.
Do we care?

Anyway, what a fine bunch of men in the Spurs shirt this afternoon. Really eager to see where we are after fifteen games and the collective has had months to work with our man Ange.

I think person is more inclusive than man, and see no reason why anyone would take umbrage with it.

I think we should care about using inclusive language yes.

Promising stuff, and without the starting front three really clicking yet, despite Kulu’s smart goal.

Ivan looking a decent option. Richy miiiiles off so far. Will be interesting to see what if anything Gil or Solomon can offer. Son will play no matter what and there’s case to play him as the 9.

In the men's game, terms don't need to be broadened. I understand a few people get precious about the current social fads thinking they are pioneering, but eventually reality re-exerts itself and we'll settle down again.

I was very interested to see how we would do against a team that presses well. We showed we can work against it.

Also Ange can change tactics when needed and also make changes at the right time. Only three games in and it looks good. It's a great transition in such a short time. Players are buying into it.

Just need one of our strikers to score now.

I would say, it's not "the men's game", its "the game".

Look at the statistics, not every player in the PL identifies as a man.

It will also be instructive to see how we fare against a top half club that chooses to press with a fair number of highly skilled players.

Just one real worry for me...Richarlison. I think he has no first touch, more pressing is the fact that he is a weakling mentally. His head dropped real fast and his attitude led to a bit of a crisis in the team and we seemed to drop our bundle a little bit. Ange could see and answered my prayers my dragging him. He is not the answer I'm afraid.

A bit too definitive for me at this early stage of the season, but he’s definitely a real worry.

I'm not against what you are saying. I'm all for change and inclusiveness. But forcing something when it's not needed just pokes at me. But I'm getting old. So.

It’s interesting, and I can understand your point of view.

It’s not needed - for you, but what if it makes someone else who has previously been or felt excluded (by omission rather than by anything nefarious or deliberate) feel more included?

That can only be a good thing I think, and I don’t think anyone can really credibly argue that it negatively affects their own enjoyment of the game.

We’ve only got to look at what’s happening in Spain at the moment to understand that covert and overt misogyny is still very, very close to the surface and will burst through at the slightest invitation.

Maddison is pretty fast and a good dribbler, protects the ball very well too, he's press resistant. Really a complete player. Keeper again looked good and a big upgrade on Lloris with his feet, he actually pulled off that chip out to a man wide which was Lloris's fave way to start an attack against us. Hojberg was brilliant when he came on. Think we should play Son through the middle now. The attack has improved two weeks in a row when he's gone in there.

Neither am I, I'm not aware of any of them saying they are homosexual either, but there definitely are some.

It's not yet a safe enough space for people to feel comfortable enough to do so, inclusive language is one of the tools we use to get there.
Ha. I see.
I'll write nothing further as this is already quite the deviation.
As long as we don't start being policed to refer to all players as 'they' rather than 'he' lest anyone take offence or feel 'excluded'.

he's had a bad 15 mins in three games, think its OTT the top myself, I'm more worried about Son and Kulu
I'm worried about all three of them. At least Kulu got a goal I suppose. But I felt he was easily bracketed out of the game. Got better towards then end. But there was space then and Bournemouth were pushing.

We need some more options.. At the moment we have Perisic and Solomon.. That's it. Get Gil back at least. But we need another wide forward option.
