Agree on both counts. I've been a fan of Jenas in the past, certainly he is happy being a squad player. but that's all he will ever be at Spurs now. He just doesnt look like being able to step it up a notch. Shame really
Jenas is the player who disappoints me the most. He has every tool in the box except the most important one, between his ears. Jenas has no football intelligence, and by that I mean that he is totally reactive on the pitch. He never has the big picture and as result will never be the player he could have been.

If I put my coach hat on I think Jenas is not suited to the CM role. His best moments are when he is running at pace with the ball, and he almost never does it. He all so has a cracking shot whiich we see little of. If he was in my team I would play him wide. Anyway I think he's here for the duration of his contract.

Andre Villas-Boas was again pleased with how the team kicked-on in the second half as we beat Watford in our latest pre-season friendly on Sunday.

Jermain Defoe headed home the only goal in the 55th minute of the match to celebrate Watford defender Lloyd Doyley’s Testimonial.

Chances were few and far between at Vicarage Road, particularly in the first half, but we stepped up again after the break to create more opportunities and win the game.

“There wasn’t a lot of emotion in the game, it was quiet for both teams and not lots of chances,” reflected Head Coach Andre.

“The second half was better for everyone. The reaction in the second half was good, the boys did well. Physically we are achieving what is normally a Premier League standard and that’s what we want.

“A couple of lads did extremely well. Defoe put in a strong performance, Walker came on in the second half and improved the dynamic of the game. Vertonghen as well, on his build up play.

“Generally, I’m happy with everyone. Training has been intense and this was like another training session.

"Tomorrow (Monday) we go back to training again, everything’s positive in that sense.”

Just home from the game.. SO MANY moany fudgers in the away end today. Just so depressing, and its only a friendly for fudges sake.

Thats sad to hear. Games at the lane often leave me feeling like this, so was gonna make a conscious effort to do more away games this season, now i'm worried. :-k

I can't understand why people will spend time and money on going to a match just to moan.

the fact they spend their hard earned money and are not rewarded by what they see on the pitch....seems reasonable to me and they have every right. If we had won 4-0 and played sparkling passing football, creating chance after chance, then there wouldnt be much to moan about

Pre season maybe, but with less than 2 weeks to go there are some worrying signs

This can be said about every team in the league right now.

I'm not worried about the players that are here or our performances so far. All about fitness so far.

That's what worried me in the first half there was so little movement, pressing and effort that it can't have done much for fitness! Second half was much, much better though.

Did anyone else notice the amount of arguing among the players at the end of the first half too? Didn't seem like a lot of them were happy or knew what exactly they were meant to be doing. Discussions going on all over the pitch.

Surely this is a good of an indication as any of a PLAYER REVOLT

I went all the way up to Wigan a couple seasons ago, some moany f***** kept shouting shoot if we got 30 yards from their goal and then said we didn't take enough shots, then someone took a silly shot that was never going in from about 20 yards and the guy complained that we were shooting from so far... then his five-year-old son called him on it and he was speechless for the rest of the game!
