Sorta feels like the club putting the Ange links out there via their trusted journos to test the waters didn't get any traction. Someone has to be feeding back to Levy and friends that the fans clear preference was Poch, Nagelsmann, Slot in that order....

I bet they are scrambling around as we speak looking for a new candidate!

Don't forget 'Other' is on 20 votes, or are you suggesting Danny Boy doesn't just read this forum? I reckon he's as old school as a lot of us!
 
Just get Naglesman in already and say that slot was a smokescreen and JN was the one that we always wanted but had to wait until now to give Mason respect ... or some other drivel ... dont care just get it done.

I wonder what Nagelsmanns requirements were that put Levy off? We have wanted him for ages. It can't have just been as simple as not agreeing on a DOF. I wonder if he just pushed Levy too far in terms of control and Levy couldn't give him everything he wanted.

Who knows. For me it's Nagelsmann or Gallardo but I doubt it will be either now. We'll probably find some young, inexperienced coach from The French league that won't question Levy and will be expected to do wonders with Sessegnon and Winks
 
Any predictions on which page this thread will end? I'll miss it when it does, it gives me a laugh at times and a great insight on how football has replaced alien invasion in the conspiracy world.

The DoF, or whatever the role is, is more time critical and there is a monumental amount of work for him to do. That role won't be held up by seasons needing to end either

I was not so sure either about bringing him back but lets be fair lol.. not signing any player for the whole of that CL final season must be a first in the EPL!
Also I can well imagine that was in the back of his mind when asked just before CL final will you still be Spurs manager come next season?

Club doesn't care about fan opinions on next manager mate (and they shouldn't), it may end up being a huge mistake, but they are not taking the easy (or fan pacification) route. They could have gone for Poch or they could have given Nagelsmann more influence and/or paid Bayern (sounds like the sticking point), and done it early. That would have taken the noise down considerably.

Yeah, I only mentioned it because it was rumored that they leaked Ange to gauge opinion. It's strange, It felt like compared with the Nuno situation there were better candidates around this time, Yet knowiing our luck we will exhaust all these options again.. let's see, Maybe we'll be ok ;)
