One good half to a season and they are suddenly the new hotness

Here comes the straw man with the minions in hot pursuit dishing out the likes!

As you well know I didn’t say they are the new ‘hotness’.

I simply made the point they are more prepared to provide outside funding to support the team than enic.

We all know that more money alone isn’t a silver bullet although they are a young ownership.

Appointing Emery is proving to be a masterstroke (so far) but looking at the gettable targets who may be able to do similar and elevate our fragile mob, well that basically leaves Ange and Marco Silva.

Worth also adding that Villa’s ownership have a better reputation than ours and have shown much more willingness to provide outside financial support to help the team.

Emery was a good manager at Woolwich but their fans like others I know wanted better.

Was going to ask the same about us. Levy confessed we were uncompetitive in the transfer market when we had CL football revenue. We're going to be both smart and lucky to break to repeat the Poch era again.

This type of ownership model that provides a near total zero tolerance approach to providing outside financial support to help the team, coupled with their shear incompetence to set the football club up correctly behind the scenes, means we will never do anything again with enic pulling the strings unless they get lucky with another miracle man in the dugout.

I truly hope Sheikh Jassim is getting tired of the man utd process and is looking our way.

Not my preferred outcome but certainly favourable to this never ending dead cycle we are now on.

As long as it isn't brendan rodgers i don't really care who it is.
As long as the clubs, the dof, the manager and the squad are all working to the same goal I'm fine with it.
Problem is i don't think they will be.

Why not ? He won things, came close to winning the league, had Leicester rolling when he was backed. Played good football ... just saying ....

Feels like that kind of day doesn't it.

My missus just asked me why I'm glum. And it's cos Poch has done it. He's not only joined our enemy, but he's going to now hold their shirt aloft like he loves that club, going to stand on the touch line at new WHL as the manager of that lot, and he is never ever going to be accepted back to finish what we all thought was his destiny.

Has to be said that we have royally f u c k e d up as a club when a man of his class, calibre and affection for us has not even been called. It's just ridiculous.

Has to be Naglesmann now for me, anything less will make me feel worse about Poch to cheatski.

fudge me you Poch lovers clearly haven’t got a very good memory, we were playing brick football and the signs were showing well before the Champions league final. Poch done all he could with a talented team and couldn’t get us over the line, do you really think he would have done anything with the current squad?
