*** OMT Spurs vs Everton ***

Can you think of a more jittery player to bring on away from home while the team is lacking confidence and shape, replacing a player who's played well and can at least control a football and make a pass? Snachez didn't close the shot just swayed out the way.

Bringing on Sarr was the only sub that made sense we were swamped in midfield and they shot and scored from the middle of pitch right outside our box. Football 101. Shaky situation, protecting a lead - pack the middle. We left it exposed and weakened our defense.

The thing is with new managers, they are learning. They see training pitch Sanchez. Whereas we know he isn't commanding or confident in a hostile game like that. Stalini won't make that mistake again. But even playing Sanchez in midfield we'd have won. Take off Lenglet, get compact and put a wall up in front of the defence.
Bringing on Sarr while Lloris, Dier and Romero are playing walking tippy tappy at the back, then see Peresic stuck back there at RB being walked around??

yes an extra mid would have been nice, but ffs it was 10vs11, so I do not accept that subs or bringing on an extra mid cost us anything. The lack of actually giving a crap and fighting for every ball did

We need to clear out so many players but it just cannot be done in one transfer window. All the players out on loan should be gone but Levy will not want to take the hit on them. Ndombele and Le Celso 100 million euros and we would be lucky to get 30 mil for them now. Rodon Winks Regullion Parrot Gil and Scarlett should all be let go. None of them good enough for the premiership. Give Spence a chance and we have Udogie to come in Lenglet is ok as a squad player. Injuries have messed us up badly this season. Will Harry stay or go? I love him but a player of his quality should have multiple trophies christ even Vardy has got a premier league and FA cup and is no where near Harrys consistency and quality. Will Richarlison live up to his price tag? I doubt it, unfortunately he just does not fit at the moment. Perhaps a new manager will get the best out of him.
The big question is who will take hold of the poison chalice that is Spurs under ENIC?
Scarlett is 19 and you want to let him go but want to give 22 year old Spence a chance to see if he is good enough? Don't quiet see the sense in that. Look at where Kane was at 19 and if that was the attitude he'd banging in the goals elsewhere.

He's played in the CL and done well. He was the only one available in midfield that has a decent touch and pass to give some control of the game
I have a poor opinion of him, especially after the Arsenal game, they slashed through him as knife through butter, doesn't do well under pressure. He is not cooked enough. He looks like he has a BIG potențial, I will give him that, but he's young and needs to play and make his mistakes, I'd rather he doesn't do it here.

Same boring team. Prepare to be bored.

I hope the "tweak" Stellini promised involves Son staying up top and not defending - especially from corners. We desperately need an out ball. With his perceived pace he should at least scare them into leaving 2 or 3 men to defend against him and this will put a serious hole in Dyches dead ball tactics.

I hate being right. We are surely an acursed club. Our players are just spineless. Our recruitment has been dire. No pace, no target man, no power, no creative midfielder, noone who can take on and beat a man, no defender who dominates the ball in the air at both ends, no in game management, no style at all. Our motto to dare is to do os just mocking us.

If we didnt have bad luck we wouldn't have any luck at all.

Stellini and the whole rotten coaching and recruitment staff should be sacked immediately.

The problem was, once again, we went all defensive after taking the lead. We should have put and extra attacker and stretched them more and gone for the kill.
Instead we allowed the them to attack us and gave them the game. They had 10 men and we gave them the game. We should own that game with the extra man. All we had to do was push up and attack, but instead we sat back let them dictate the game. How dumb can get. It's naive.l management....

We saw it against Wolves when were on top and their experienced Manager made a few tactical changes and we lost the game.
Again today we are on top, playing against 10, their experienced Manager makes the right subs and tactical tweeks and we loss control of the game.
That's where YTS manager's get found out by experienced Manager's.
If we attacked them after Kane's goal, they probably would have sat back to make sure they don't lose 3 or 4 and mess up their goal difference. But we sat back and game them the game in their own back yard, with their fans. How stupid was that.
Seriously how stupid and infuriating.
We need a real manager who plays an attacking game. We've always been brick at defending (that's where sexy comes from) but we have also always been quite good at attacking. We need to play to our strength.

The last two managers have messed up our heads. We've been playing defensive, ultra defensive football for the past 3/4 years.... It's unnatural to this club, its messing with everyone's head. We're brick at it. It's never been our culture to play defensive football.
Levy's really messed this up. He's deviated from a 100 years of history. It's unforgivable... Our history shows when we have been great we have played attacking football....even when we have years of mediocracy, we could still play attacking football. It's our culture our DNA. But Levy has tampered with that and really broken at the moment.
At the moment I don't care who we appointment as long as it's an attacking minded manager, we need to get these players playing on the front foot.

I'd much rather concede that goal whilst trying to play on front foot, rather than sit back for 20mins against 10 men and wait for the that goal to be conceded.
We need a real manager fast and we need an attacking manager fast.

I wouldn't question the commitment. We were frantic. If anything too psyched that we lost the ability to impose our game at times. We lost shape as we chased them around, and were sucked into playing their game rather than imposing ours. It wasn't giving a crap that lost us. It was leaving ourselves exposed and not controlling the game. We left ourselves open in the middle and you just can't give a free shot away slap bang in front of the box. Everton would have never allowed that in reverse.

You either need one of the CBs to step out into midfield and close it down, or tuck the wide players in to make a more compact unit in front of the defense. We did neither.

Yes. And there's no way that Mason and Stellini gathered the players together after Everton's red card and said, "Lads, play like a bunch of craven jellyfish. Please kick it around our own penalty area, invite pressure from them and never allow yourself to put more than two forward passes together before giving them the ball back"

I'm furious.
I’m not sure they said anything at all (which is part of the problem). Nothing at all was coming from the bench.

We’ve chosen to play the last 10 games of the season without even an organ grinder.

Why do you think we have someone lined up?

Because we've pinned these two for the rest of the season.

If we were still looking and chose someone available it could happen sooner.

Has to be someone committed to finishing the season somewhere else, so has to be "someone".

When you have ONLY 2 defensive central midfielder, with no realistic ball skills, you give up the MIDFIELD. When you give up the midfield you are defending. When you are defending a goal may come at some point.

fudge me, didn't see it as I was out playing a match but it sounds grim.

Levy's fudged our season and he's gonna cost himself top 4. Things are pretty shambolic right now. Hard to get enthusiastic about anything Tottenham at the minute.

Quite. With the crowd whipping up the atmosphere and the game sliding you need the manager to steady the ship. Whats the plan? How are we going to see this out or take back control? It is okay lads we're bringing on Snachez :)

Stellini is the manager. How many subs did he make? You are up by one man and your CM is tiring. Everton brought on players in midfield and attack. No change except to being Sanchez who is not comfortable at LCB and Moura. No other changes. He and Mason were utter crap tonight.
Yes but why do you expect anything else?…. There isn’t another team in the PL who would have either of them as their manager.

I kinda agree
Season is dead now without 3 pts tonight

Get Potter in..........let him gut this team, get rid of all the spineless garbage, spend that money on players that want to fight and build something for the future. Be it 3 years, 4 years time, doesnt matter.

Develop a vision and a style that the fanbase desire, as he actually did with Brighton.

It'll probabbly never happen with Levy/ENIC as owners though.....they've turned us into the laughing stock of English and European football.
If Potter comes here then Levy sacks him within a dozen PL games IMO.
