Antonio Conte - officially NOT the coach of THFC

So he's there for just one and a half seasons takes them to the semis in one year and then gets knocked out by serial winners Real Madrid next season but he's not pulling up trees? That is a fairly blinkered analysis. Not surprised then that I am "douchey"....
I would say that it’s difficult for any manager to stand out in PSG given their status in ligue 1 but do you not think that’s a pretty average performance for PSG in the CL given the calibre of players they have?

Shouldn't part of this debate be in Pochettino offically no longer coach at THFC thread? I was tinkled off at Burkinshaw going but I've let it go.
Well I guess unless Burkinshaw is in the running to be our next manager it is much easier to keep him out of the conversation...He was my first Spurs manager. Glory days indeed!

I dunno they've been arguably worse this season under Galtier who is an excellent manager, they failed in the Champions League under Tuchel, serial Europa cup winner Emery and serial Champions League winner Ancelotti. Failing in the Champions league at PSG is much the same as failing at Spurs. It's not always just on the manager.

Going out to the winners? As average as every other manager that has managed them in the last twenty odd years (and better than many who have gone out to a team that didn’t win the competition). Is Guardiola a poor manager due to not being able to win the CL at Emirates Marketing Project despite having numerous goes at it?

Didn’t say Poch was a poor manager, I was supporting the OP who suggested he hadn’t “pulled up any trees” at PSG. Like I say, average.

No ‘they’ aren’t. In fact, many of ‘them’ (despite ‘themselves’) don’t think it’d be a good idea given the same structure is in place, and therefore the same issues will likely occur. I think (as I said somewhere else) it’s sad the conversation is even happening. We should’ve left it behind by now. Yet here we are…

Really ???????? well from what i hear and see they are but as you say its history ( or should be). He did great for us until it went wrong i see no reason why we can not let it be and look forward instead of backwards. As you say here we are.

Yes your comment about throwing things out without backing it up was unnecessarily douchey.

Poch results at PSG are about par for where PSG expect to be imho.
The point I was raising is that his time at PSG doesn't show he could definitely take us past where we currently are - you seem to think the opposite. What are you basing that upon?
