Kane is 29 and richarlison is brazils number 9.
Yep
But Kanes world class and Richarlisons can’t control a ball
One can play anywhere and he works class
The other has to be a focal point
So to play with Rucharlison and no kane we would need a number 10 behind… like Brazil do

There is nothing to fix imo.

I’m fine with not winning the PL/CL whilst all this cheating goes on around us.

Keep our house in order and wait for castles built on sand to fall into the sea.

A noble view but why should the others ever stop cheating?

They will cheat until the cows come home.

Looking back at our business over the last couple of years, since the stadium was completed and started generating real revenue...

What kind of spending would those unhappy with the money spent under Levy in recent years be happy with? Double? Triple? 50% more? How much more would be enough?

Or is it just complain about spending until we win a major trophy?
I've always wondered if the conversation would be any different if we'd won that game in Madrid?

no long term roi on it, none of them are doing it for the right reason, they are all buying something, once they have that they won’t need the football club anymore

Problem is they go for it till the funds run out (not such an issue for nation states), then sell to someone who does the same. Some clubs can't find a buyer and get fudged.

Man utd are a prime example. They are fudged at the moment, their debt and interest has balloned. They don't find a buyer/investor soon they are in trouble. They also don't get cl it's a huge problem. Nobody will buy their players, the ammount of wages they're on. So they'll have to dump.

They are probably the second biggest team on the planet so i'm sure they'll be able to find an investor or restructure. But the fact it has got this bad is frightening (if you're a fan, to me it's funny).

I don't see that as a problem, the more clubs that get fudged the better it is for us.

Not if there is a continuous cycle of new owners. We'd just be treading water forever. We need proper spending rules with teeth. Or we get a nation state as owners.

A, I think proper spending rules are coming. The gaul of PL clubs to wear green for sustainability after the transfer window just gone is something.

B, Diminishing returns, there are only so many clubs you can do it with, Boehly will find out it can't be done twice with the same club, it can't be done with a club the size of Villa, it only works at City because of their proximity to United.

And the fact that everyone seems to believe the way forward is huge player spend, twinned with the fact only one club can win the league there is a huge element that owners won't stick around when its not their time. Liverpool owners a case in example, were absolutely all over it when they were winning stuff and now they don't have the stomach and probably the inclination to plough money into a black hole to do it again and who can blame them TBH

Probably all clubs bar 2/3 up for sales in the prem unofficially and there is not this glut of owners ready to come in like people think
