Look who's happy. :D

The guy on the right is the Chinese brother of Harry Kane.

That's the Harry Kane who plays for Spurs. In Rondon.....

Look in the background - those 2 blokes look a lot like some of AVB's side kicks who appear to be talking to someone obstructed by AVB

But I can't say I'm a great fan of the idea of spunking €40m on Moutinho; just because we could afford it doesn't mean we should go ahead and do it. I don't think he's worth anywhere near €40m.

I know Modric does a certain job, but selling a player who does a job doesn't mean that you ergo have to go out and get some like-for-like replacement. There's nothing stopping AVB from changing the team dynamic so that it's not so wholly reliant on this one player, like Modric, to dictate the tempo of our play.

Its a difficult one. On one hand, absolutely, I can see Moutinho is VERY expensive and probably over priced.

In the other hand, if he is worth it to us then why not pay (while we have the Modric cash).

He isnt the same player as Modric, but he would fill that role of midfield fulcrum perfectly. He is a class act, and as importantly he is already a proven winner under AVB - he knows how he works, his system and is a big advocate of the manager.

This buy, aside from being a class player, could be the buy that cements the managers authority on the squad as well as his system on the team. It could be a fast track to what AVB can achieve.

I think we would agree Moutinho is a very decent player, and worth probably €20m, is an extra €10 on top to much to pay for what he specifically brings?

And once again, I would be surprised if he cost quite that much...

Interesting.

So, when all is said and done, the deal could be worth between €45-€47m (£35.3m-£36.9m) and profit of between £18.8 and £20.4m. That's not bad business that.

Good post and i agree.

Only seen him play a few times and im still not convinced about him. Seems a bit overrated imo

Same here. If you thought Bale being selfish and shooting from stupid distances/angles was bad last season youve seen nothing compared to having Hulk in your side. One footed, desperately selfish player who will get the occasional screamer.

Genuinely do not see what the fuss is about

Quite funny, AVB goes to See the Brazil camp / first picture anyone gets onto web is of him Hulk / Everyone has ITK that Hulk is coming. Bet he spoke with most of the squad, who knows who he is after.
