Maybe Skipp offers something closer to Hojberg .
Thats exactly how I see him. He'll enable PEH to get a break and can also play alongside him in tougher games or late on in games if we're under the kosh
Maybe Skipp offers something closer to Hojberg .
Winks and Skipp are very similar. Not bad but not exceptional, there are many of these types in the UK.
He is very different to Lamela and Moura in that he plays a different position tooI watched Skipp earlier for the U21s, he was neat and tidy in terms of interceptions and he cleaned up issues and gave the ball to other more progressive players. He is a good "clean up man" but he isn't some dynamic energetic game changer in terms of moving the team forwards. I rate him, but don't expect him to drive a team forwards so I wouldn't mention him in the same breath as Lucas or Lamela.
Lovely this 😂😂😂 https://t.co/QMmLz7ODtk

Has completely transformed the CDM role missing just one game all season. His energy, work rate and anticipation has been Premier League class and he deserves incredible praise for what he's brought to our side

Oliver Skipp🏃 pic.twitter.com/F2Qz91PM3v
Just watching him play for Norwich now who are winning 1-0 at half time with ten men. Skipp is playing really well and covering a lot of ground.
he'll be a major asset for us next season. Hojbjerg, Skipp, Ndombele, LoCelso - would be an outstanding quartet of CMs
Only took over a few months agoLets hope so, Bournemouth have just won 3-1 and Skippy got himself booked but played well. I did not know that the manager of Bournemouth was our LC cup winning CB against Chelski.
Until he misplaces a pass and The Special Once consigns him to the U-23's after slagging him off by name on MOTD.he'll be a major asset for us next season. Hojbjerg, Skipp, Ndombele, LoCelso - would be an outstanding quartet of CMs
Protection. Reliability. Class.

Oliver Skipp has been absolutely superb across all 46 games and has improved that CDM role beyond our wildest dreams. He's going to have a top career but hopefully we can get him off #thfc for one more season🤞 #ncfc pic.twitter.com/PMl6UCgRPq

Wonder if our new gaffer will prefer to see Skipp start for Norwich next season to build up his PL experience rather than be one of our midfield rotation.

Could the difference be whether we get European football or not? It certainly helped Kane get in the team. If we have limited fixtures I couldn't help thinking it'd be better for him to have another season at Norwich but maybe I'm being a tad negative on our EL prospects.
Perhaps if we find a buyer for Winks, know they play a completely different game but squad-wise Skipp could easily fill in the gap going by the season he's just had.
Appreciate some may be declare we're getting ahead of ourselves on the hype but it's excellent to see another young talent come from the academy.
