My favourite Spurs player to watch ever. He didn't have a lot of end product in terms of goals and assists but what a beast in midfield.
I was probably too young and there wasn't enough football on TV at the time to properly appreciate Gazza. But Dembele had a rare skill for a CM, like Gazza, in that he could beat a man and keep the ball under immense pressure. His performance out in Turin in the 2-2 is still one of the greatest I've ever seen.
Sad we lost him when we did. He could have been a difference maker in the CL but he was physically gone at that stage. A great, great player.
