I've been sceptical about the Siggy signing - both the fact of it even happening, and also in not being sure about how good he is, not having seen him more than a few times last season.

But if the AVB and Siggy stories are both true, I would say that is a massive vote of confidence in Siggy. After all, last year AVB would have had the option to buy almost any player in the world. And yet with that dossier of knowledge about players, he'd still be going for Siggy as his first signing. Even allowing for Chelsea's greater spending power, that's still some compliment.
 
He'll be very useful against the bus parkers, we often need someone to just smash one in from distance and that's his speciality.
 
RAWK has a bad reputation for being brimful of deluded Liverpool fans who haven't come to terms with the fact that their club hasn't won the title for more than 20 years.

But having read the last 15 pages or so of that thread, there appears to be a healthy mix of of the aforementioned types and others who are wryly self deprecating, respectful, realistic......even overly generous to Spurs, IMO.

Shouldn't they be worrying about their own squad instead of ours?
Bottom line is that we finished several points above them and are far more attractive for Sigurdsson at the moment. The manager is in place imo and we await to announce who he is and surely Sigurdsson would have been told this.

Being great 20+ years ago has bred a hell of a lot of arrogance on merseyside it seems. They're not great anymore.
 
LOL at the guy that listed about 7 players that 'would walk' into our side. Amazing that over half their team finished 4 places and godknows how many points below us could do that.

Plus, they've apparently just been 'under performing' for 3 years. It's not their actual level...it's just under performance. Ugh.

And they act like the players we are going to let go are irreplacable. Oh no...we need to replace old goalkeepers, we've released Nelsen and Saha...blimey.
