I was one of the ones underwhelmed by his signing but he has been outstanding and proves you dont always need to make a big signing.
It seems so unfair to pick just one player....But fuuuuck, this guy just absolutely loves chewing through hard work in midfield. It's a pleasure to behold.

No but the teams that make the best progress in the windows tend to win thingsYou rarely need big headline signings. Winning the transfer window doesn't provide any trophies yet.

Don’t disagreeYes, but that rarely comes down to making the biggest or most expensive signings. We identified our weaknesses and dealt with them.
Don’t disagree
You said “winning the window”
We IMO did just that
And it’s showing
Tough call. With that restriction, you've limited us to choosing from the tiny pool of everyone who has legs.He is. I do worry that an injury to him screws us up. Skipp can be is understudy next year, but think we need to find a new Sissoko who is a bit better on the ball
Well...We definitely had a good window, but apparently Chelsea and Liverpool and possibly Arsenal and ManU did better according to the "pundits".
They may have had bigger names, but how many were worth more on the Scrabble board?Another great game from him, i have said this before but he is probably our best signing for a while. We have signed bigger named players for sure but he is one who fills a very big hole in our CM. A position we have been so poor in for a while.
Well...
Pool bought one first team player and he is quality so maybe they did
Chelsea just bought anyone available with a “big rep”. I don’t think they did that well IMO
Arsenal and United both bought decent players but didn’t fix the gaps
We fixed our weaknesses at full back and CM and added so many attacking options too
