The argument for me is it sums up Dele.
Ridiculous fouls and going to ground very easily is all he offers now.

Aurier has put in two balls that could easily have been goals... Sessegnon was on the end of one of them.

I think the two of them are stretching the opposition and our other attacking players have to play faster in the central attacking areas to take advantage of the space they are creating from being wide so high up the pitch.

Dele has missed 37 mins of league football since he came back vs Watford. That was 13 games ago.

Played 2/3 CL games also.

Part of that was because he continued running wide into a blind alley instead of going inside immediately. Dele hasn't the pace to carry the ball on the outside, hence the hopeful dive.

We def have a more solid shape in this formation. However it seems to require Dele and Moura to link things together, which hasn’t happened so far.

Which will never happen.
Dele only does that with high risk balls and as such requires quick movement and a disorganised opposition.
Moura can run in a straight line looking "jinky" because of his stature and infrequently score a good goal. He is the Brazilian Sean Wright-Phillips.

I tend to agree. He’s coming behind Sess to get the ball which is bizarre. I just think get him off for future preservation. We’ve already seen a muscle injury for Kane who played every minute of 10 games in 39 days.

I don't think any of our training drills help us with these conundrums. We need to practice this i.e. a defence is all set and primed, and we have to work a way through it. Maybe our solution is just to randomly flannel about until the ball bounces off someone's elbow and we have a free pot at goal.

Aurier is the only right back who is asked not to defend as to limit his liability. I don’t understand why there are not other options who can play the non defensive right back role who might actually offer something going forward

I disagree completely. We are working up to the last quarter well but then overplaying. AVB Spurs completed 20 passes between the defence and deep midfield on each possession to make the possession and pass completion stats look good
