First half was a standard Spurs performance from 2019. Switched off at key moments, lack of concentration, recklessness play, lack of guile and creativity.

Second half was much better. Much more intensity, fight and creativity. Thought Moura’s final ball was dreadful but he worked his nuts off and his work rate got the crowd going. Alli was non-existent then pops with up with a world class finish. Kane was very good. Need to be much better against Norwich and Soton.

I realise it is not the club’s MO to buy in January but we desperately need a proper defensive midfielder plus Ndombele needs more game time.

I thought he was our best player today overall.

Reading through some of this thread whilst waiting for the coach to get on the move (why can’t people get back on time when there’s over an hour from game ending to coach leaving?) and I’ve been a bit surprised at some of the anti Dele comments. I thought he played (relatively) well. I wonder if it’s the different perspective from pitch side v TV.

fudge me that was tough going. Still so much for Mourinho to get right.

The worrying thing for me is that at 1-0, I could see them scoring again. There are some games like this against poor opposition where they get the lead and you know they just aren't gonna get the second goal. Brighton looked like they could.

Also, towards the end, we were hanging on and, again, it was more through luck than our good play that we didn't conceded. That's not what I expect from a Mourinho team.

There were some good things today (we bossed the second half really) but there are a lot of worrying signs and Jose hasn't put his stamp on this team yet even in the most basic of terms (i.e. making us hard to open up or break down).

Poor first half, much improved second half. Good to see Lo Celso get the chance for some actual game timex thought he did quite well.

Took a lot of work, will make it tough going into the next one with the injuries and Son's suspension.

Three points, some positives against a fairly tricky opponent. Happy enough with that though there are plenty of concerns.

At least they showed a bit of fight second half to turn it around. Other than that, it had been starting to look like a familiar tale.

I think that the OMT tends to be a mix of paranoia and pessimism during the game. Constant moaning about a player's performance can cloud judgement.

Unless it's a game like the Burnley one where we are comfortably ahead in 10 mins, you'll always get anxiety, paranoia and frustration in the OMT. And even most of the posts that I think are reactionary nonsense, I can understand because we all feel it instinctively. That is unless the reactionary nonsense is mine which it sometimes is.

Football eh... bloody hell.

Lo celso is so one footed, he lost the ball a couple of times because he didn’t use his right.

Him and CE changed the game

CEs ball to serge was fantastic.

Winks/Sissoko still doesn’t work.

And fudge VAR
