Delighted with that. Much better second half although we do still look very vulnerable. At no point did I think they couldn't score.

Sanchez was immense, Aurier was excellent, Sissoko did well, Kane worked hard and Lo Celso did enough to deserve more minutes.

Winks is a very lucky boy too. Could and should have gone. Silly tackle on a yellow.
 
Tough game but we do make it hard for ourselves. Poor shape just like against Chelsea and again the opposition had a spare man to receive the ball. Hope it really is JM fact finding about his team as this cannot be the plan going forward surely.

Hopefully. Doesn't look fully up to the tempo yet, but can receive and pass the ball forward at ease in tight spaces - something neither Sissoko nor Winks are particularly good at.

Very silly
But the yellow he got was an awful call
Thought Aurier played well although still got caught wrong side defensively too many times. Lovely touch for that goal
Sissoko is sissoko... run, run and run... some of his touches were so sissoko it’s scary but he put his shift in and didn’t drop after the booking which was very stupid
Sanchez was great but he didn’t have a physical guy up against him which may have worked in his favour, as it was him that got done for their goal . Thought Toby was good too
Lo Celso has to start IMO

Agree with all of that. Winks is lucky although I'm not quite sure how much contact he made second time. First yellow was a joke, absolutely hate the way modern football dictates that a slide tackle attempting for the ball is condemned as reckless even though no contact was made and it was no where near dangerous. Hoddle banging on about Dele's challenge second half when his arse went into the defender's face was annoying too. Love you Glenn but give it a rest.
 
Could be a blessing that both Sissoko and Winks are out against Norwich. Means one of Lo Celso and Ndombele will surely play centrally and we will be less turgid through there. If Winks can play there under Mou than surely Lo Celso can. Neither are physical giants.

Maybe the ref saw the first yellow again at half time and acted accordingly.

Yeah I think the way slide tackles get punished by default is wrong but everyone knows the score. And while there was no contact on the first one, it was a bad tackle and he had need to make it.

The second one was just reckless.
