I dont tend to use the term Winger unless I mean your Aaron Lennon type, but common parlance, particularly in the press seems to lump "winger" in as "any attacking player not strictly central".
Reviews Ive seen of this lad say he plays all across the front 4 but would ideally favour a central position. Not that I think he would get it under Poch, at least initially, far more likely he plays in the Lamela/Son type inside forward either side...
I think Poch loves Lamela. And I think, theoretically, he is a very valuable player to have in the squad.
Problem is, as you say, he is only reliable in that you can guarantee he wont be fit when you need him.
That being the case, I wouldnt be against selling him at all.

It is possible that with the rumoured signings there is less pressure on him to play etc and he can be used more sparingly and remain fit, but honestly I still dont think he warrants being nursed like that. Id rather just have players reliably available.

Agreed, the quality of defending on display is very poor - makes it easier for him to look good.
I never watch those videos expecting "that player", as if he would perform like that all the time.
Though I do look for general ability, and I quite like what I see of him. Tenacious, really good passing forward as an instinct, decent shot - and not afraid to have a pop. Plenty there for someone like Poch to work with.

I get what you're saying, but the lad can only play against what's in front of him. And for all we know the defenders might well be aware of his talents and so naturally try and stand him up rather than commit - similar to what many do vs Hazard, and he still makes top defenders look brick at times!
Of course, he's no Hazard, but he clearly has something about him. It's one thing being faced with a stand-offish defender, it's another to still know how to get passed them. And I like that fact he uses both skilll and pass-and-move to do this.

Who is Dani Olmo?
Dani Olmo is a 21-year-old attacking midfielder who plays his football for Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb.
He was born in Terressa, spain and started his career with the Espanyol youth team, although he was soon snapped up by the youth ranks of Spanish giants Barcelona, where he made his way through the academy system.
He never made a first team appearance for Barca, moving to Zagreb on a free transfer in the summer of 2014, initially playing for the club's youth team, before being promoted to the first team squad the following January.
Olmo has gone onto make 102 appearances for the Croatian club, scoring 26 goals and assisting a further 21. He is part of a squad that has won four Croatian league titles and three Croatian Cups.
How did he perform this season?
The midfielder made 44 appearances in all competitions for Zagreb during the 2018/19 season, scoring 12 goals and providing nine assists.
As well has impressing domestically for his club, the youngster has also shown what he can do on the world stage. He impressed as an integral part of the Spain team that went onto win the European U21 Championships held in Italy last month.
The Spaniard scored three goals and provided one assist in his four appearances in the competition, including scoring what turned out to be the winning goal in the 2-1 win against Germany in the final. He also was awarded the man of the match award for the game.
What other clubs are interested?
Manchester United have recently been linked with a move for Olmo, with Ole Gunnar solskjaer said to be targeting up and coming players to build his team around.
Reports in Croatial (via Sportske) have claimed that the Red Devils had told Zagreb that they were willing to pay up to £35m for the player, but it seems that Tottenham have stolen a march on their Premier League rivals, with a £22m move for Olmo to arrive at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium said to be 'close'.
What's he said about his future?
Amid speculation about clubs being interested, the player was reluctant to give much away when talking about his future. Although he did insist that game time is one of the most important aspects of any move for him.
"Honestly, I know absolutely nothing about it," he told T-Portal when asked about a summer transfer.
It’s for my manager Andy Bara and my dad.
"However, I’m not burdened by this.
"It's very simple – (I want) a club where I will play.
"Because I am still young and for me it is most important that I have minutes."

If I were him and had Lamela as competition Id fancy my chances...
Whilst I agree that his injury and fitness issues are having a negative impact on his value to the club, he recently signed a 4 year contract and unless we receive a good offer for him (unlikely), I think he'll be with us next year and that's ok by me as long as he can stay fit and contribute.

I have genuine doubts as to his ability to stay fit and contribute, thats the entire reasoning behind my willingness to sell him, but I would be delighted if that were the case.
More likely, IMO, is he sticks around this year, has a season much like last, and moves on next summer. But, while he is here, he proves very useful for helping settle our new Spanish speaking acquisitions - something I suspect he is very adept at.

Olmo can't be Spanish, there was no falling over clutching the leg and rolling 10 yards in the video, obviously Croatia has hardened him up.
On a serious note he does look able to play anywhere across the midfield and doesn't seem to mind working back and putting a foot (or head) in when needed.
As others have said 25m is nothing these days and he's well worth the punt.
